Electrode and Microstructure Dependence of Oxygen Diffusion in Ferroelectric Hafnium Zirconium Oxide Thin Films

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Significant nanoscale oxygen diffusion coefficient variations are measured in ferroelectric hafnium zirconium oxide films with grain boundaries and electrode interfaces exhibiting values 104 times larger than the grain cores. Overall coefficients are 10X larger for films prepared with metal nitride electrodes compared to refractory metals. New insights

Numerical Simulation of Bubble Growth in Liquid Jet Impingement on a Hot Plate

open access: yesJournal of Thermal Science and Technology, 2012
Complete numerical simulations are performed for bubble growth in water jet impingement on a hot plate. The governing equations for the conservation of mass, momentum and energy are numerically solved in the liquid, vapor and air phases. The liquid-vapor

Modeling of VLE and LLE Systems by using Thermodynamic model with ANFIS Structures and GMDH Type-Neural Network [PDF]

open access: yesمجله مدل سازی در مهندسی, 2018
Study of vapor - liquid and liquid – liquid Equilibrium plays an important role in the design, optimization and control of separation processes. In this research phase equilibrium of binary systems (1-propanol, water and 1-propanol, ethyl acetate) also ...

Liquid—Vapor Equilibrium in the System Normal Hydrogen—Helium [PDF]

open access: yes, 1964
Liquid—vapor equilibrium phase compositions for the binary system normal hydrogen—helium have been determined for 11 isotherms in the range 15.50°—32.50°K and at pressures up to 500 psia.

Resolving the Cu(bdc) Conundrum: Identifying Non‐Porous Packing of Prototypical Coordination‐Network Thin Films Combining Advanced Diffraction Techniques and Computational Modelling

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Solution‐processed Cu(bdc) forms prototypical MOF thin films for which a multitude of not fully satisfactory structural models have been suggested. Combining rotating grazing‐incidence diffraction and X‐ray reflectivity on two complementary samples with density‐functional theory, we first discard the previously suggested models and then identify a non ...

New solvent blends for post-combustion CO2 capture

open access: yesGreen Energy & Environment, 2019
In the current work five different solvent blends are experimentally studied and the reboiler duties are calculated using the so-called short-cut method.

Nanoengineered Binetworks in Multifunctional Anionic Block Polymer Mesoblends for Improved Mechanical Properties

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Mesoblends consist of a nanostructured polymer into which a second polymer is imbibed with a selective solvent. In this work, a solvent‐templatable pentablock terpolymer possessing a sulfonated midblock is modified with a hydrophilic polymer that is photocrosslinked in situ, yielding a hierarchical binetwork.

A New Experimental Method to Determine the Henry’s Law Constant of a Volatile Organic Compound Adsorbed in Soil

open access: yesJournal of Chemistry, 2015
This paper presents a new mechanical method to determine Henry’s law constant (HLC) of a volatile organic compound (VOC). This method is an extension of the one proposed by Ouoba et al. (2010) to determine the water activity in porous media.
