Frequency Agile Radial-Shaped Varactor-Loaded Reflectarray Cell [PDF]

open access: yesRadioengineering, 2016
An equivalent circuit approach is adopted in this paper to analyze a novel varactor loaded phasing line, specifically designed to improve the frequency agility features of reconfigurable aperture-coupled reflectarray cell, through the use of a couple of ...

Design and investigation of 65 nm rf cmos technology lc-vco’s / Aukštadažnių, 65 nm kmop technologijos, lc įtampa valdomų generatorių projektavimas ir tyrimas

open access: yesMokslas: Lietuvos Ateitis, 2014
In this paper, two LC Voltage-Controlled Oscillators (LC-LC-VCO1 and LC-VCO2) are designed using TSMC 65 nm LP/MS/RF CMOS technology. Two arrays, one of which is a 6-bit capacitor array and the other – an array of MOS varactors, provide a wide LC-VCO ...

Harmonic Generation by Nondegenerate P-N Junction Varactor Diodes

open access: yesActive and Passive Electronic Components, 1997
This paper deals with the large-signal analysis of nondegenerate p-n junction varactor diodes. Expressions are obtained for the harmonics of the varactor diode current when driven by a sinusoidal voltage signal. The special case of relatively small input

A Tunable Dual-Band Bandpass-to-Bandstop Filter Using p-i-n Diodes and Varactors

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2018
In this paper, a tunable dual-band bandpass-to-bandstop filter and its analysis are proposed. The bandpass-to-bandstop transformation could be obtained by changing the state of the p-i-n diode.

Slotted Printed Monopole UWB Antennas with Tunable Rejection Bands for WLAN/WiMAX and X-Band Coexistence [PDF]

open access: yesRadioengineering, 2018
Four versions of the compact hexagonal-shaped monopole printed antennas for UWB applications are presented. The first proposed antenna has an impedance bandwidth of 127.48 % (3.1 GHz to 14 GHz), which satisfies the bandwidth for ultra-wideband ...

Enhancing parameters of silicon varactors using laser gettering

open access: yesTekhnologiya i Konstruirovanie v Elektronnoi Apparature, 2018
The authors investigate how and why defects influence the inverse characteristics of varactors. The paper presents experimental results on the effect laser gettering has on the electrical parameters of varactors.

Stability of varactor circuits

open access: yesElectronics Letters, 1994
Chaotic instability of a varactor circuit with a quasiperiodic excitation is studied. It is shown that, compared to single frequency forcing, a quasiperiodic input, such as an amplitude modulated signal, causes a considerable drop in the threshold for chaotic onset. Analytical conditions for chaos to arise are also obtained.

Varactor-tuned substrate integrated evanescent filter [PDF]

open access: yes2015 1st URSI Atlantic Radio Science Conference (URSI AT-RASC), 2015
Evanescent mode waveguides allow for more compact microwave component design in comparison to the traditional fundamental mode waveguide technology. Evanescent waveguides can be integrated into a dielectric substrate in order to further reduce the mass and volume. Unfortunately, traditional realization methods used in the standard evanescent waveguides
