Martingale Inequalities in Variable Exponent Hardy spaces with
$0arXiv, 2016
We investigate the properties of the variable Lebesgue spaces with quasi-norm
on a probability space, and give the atomic decompositions suited to the
variable exponent martingale Hardy spaces. Using the decompositions and the
harmonic mean of a variable exponent, we obtain several continuous embedding
relations between martingale Hardy spaces with ...

A degenerate elliptic system with variable exponents [PDF]
We study a degenerate elliptic system with variable exponents. Using the variational approach and some recent theory on weighted Lebesgue and Sobolev spaces with variable exponents, we prove the existence of at least two distinct nontrivial weak solutions of the system.

Abstract Background Volumetric modulated arc therapy (VMAT) requires an accurate patient‐specific quality assurance (PSQA) program. In clinical practice, this is usually performed using the γ‐index and the two‐dimensional gamma passing rate (2D %GP). A three‐dimensional (3D) index incorporating the patient anatomy could be more useful for the 3D dose ...

Perturbed subcritical Dirichlet problems with variable exponents
We study a class of nonhomogeneous elliptic problems with Dirichlet boundary condition and involving the p(x)-Laplace operator and power-type nonlinear terms with variable exponent.

Multilinear fractional type operators and their commutators on Hardy spaces with variable exponents [PDF]
In this article, we show that multilinear fractional type operators are bounded from product Hardy spaces with variable exponents into Lebesgue spaces with variable exponents via the atomic decomposition theory. We also study continuity properties of commutators of multilinear fractional type operators on product of certain Hardy spaces with variable ...

Methods for working with problem residents in medical physics residency education
Abstract Medical physics residency training programs may occasionally encounter residents requiring additional intervention beyond normal training efforts. In the literature, these residents are referred to as “problem” residents. While the physician literature on the subject is valuable, this paper specifically focuses on dealing with a problem ...

Abstract Introduction Many artificial intelligence (AI) solutions have been proposed to enhance the radiotherapy (RT) workflow, but limited applications have been implemented to date, suggesting an implementation gap. One contributing factor to this gap is a misalignment between AI systems and their users.

In this article, we consider a nonlinear plate (or beam) Petrovsky equation with strong damping and source terms with variable exponents. By using the Banach contraction mapping principle we obtain local weak solutions, under suitable assumptions on ...

Abstract Introduction The use of radioactive materials in the United States has been tightly regulated by the Nuclear Regulatory Commission and other entities for many decades. In 2015, however, the Joint Commission began to require hospital‐based nuclear medicine departments to conduct shielding designs and evaluations for radioactive material areas ...
