Climate Variability and Mass Migration

2000
We may look upon today’s economy as a huge mechanism. Multiple factors interlink like wheels of a clockwork. They all have an impact on the end result and through probability studies alone can the significance of one or the other factor be isolated. It is obvious and quite evident that the natural environment on earth affects the development of human ...

Harmonic oscillator with variable mass

Journal of Physics A: Mathematical and General, 1983
A general treatment of the quantal harmonic oscillator with variable mass is given. Various examples additional to those obtained by Colegrave and Abdalla for which a closed form solution is possible are given.

Quasars in variable mass hypothesis

Journal of Astrophysics and Astronomy, 1997
The variable Mass Hypothesis of conformal gravitation theory of Hoyle-Narlikar is used to develop a model for the anomalous redshift quasar-galaxy associations. It is hypothesised that quasars are born in and ejected from the nuclei of parent galaxies as massless objects and the particle masses in them systematically increase with epoch.

Systems of Particles and Variable Mass

2020
After introducing the needed defining properties of a N-particle system (such as the center of mass, motion of the center of mass and relative motion with respect to the center of mass, total kinetic energy, force, angular momentum etc.), together with the notions introduced in the previous chapter, and with a little guidance, along this chapter, one ...

Dynamics of the Mass Variable Body

2014
In this Chapter the dynamics of the body with time variable mass and time variable moment of inertia is treated. The both cases of mass and moment of inertia variation are considered: the discontinual and the continual. The basic lows in dynamics are extended to the case when the mass is varying in time.
