On the relationship between variable Wiener index and variable Szeged index [PDF]
We resolve two conjectures of Hriňáková, Knor and Škrekovski (2019) concerning the relationship between the variable Wiener index and variable Szeged index for a connected, non-complete graph, one of which would imply the other. The strong conjecture is that for any such graph there is a critical exponent in $(0,1]$, below which the variable Wiener ...

Spatiotemporal Assessment of Vegetation Indices and Land Cover for Erbil City and Its Surrounding Using Modis Imageries [PDF]
The rate of global urbanization is exponentially increasing and reducing areas of natural vegetation. Remote sensing can determine spatiotemporal changes in vegetation and urban land cover.

A szülői nevelési stílus összefüggése pszichológiai és egészségjellemzőkkel serdülő lányok körében
During the time of adolescence the role of the parents is continuously restructuring and peer relationships come into prominence. However, the change in adolescents’ social network does not mean that the role of the parents is not so important in their ...

The impact of soil and climatic factors on forest growth [PDF]
This preliminary study reveals the relations between the forest growth (annual dendromass increment; ADMinc - as dependent variable) and some important soil factors, which have effect on plant growth, such as: groundwater level (GWL), groundwater ...

ABSTRACT Autism spectrum disorder (ASD) is characterized by alterations in social understanding and self‐related experience that overlap with broader dimensions of psychosocial vulnerability. These domains are tightly interconnected, motivating the use of analytic approaches that can capture their organization as complex associations rather than as ...

A modular, de novo α/β‐peptide design strategy allows fine‐tuning of ligand properties, resulting in multivalent ligands that simultaneously target separate binding sites on the protein surface. ABSTRACT Protein‐protein interactions that regulate gene expression in the nucleus are increasingly recognized as potential therapeutic targets but present ...

How Amino Acids Intercalate in CaFe Layered Double Hydroxides: A Combined RIXS and NEXAFS Study
Intercalation of amino acids in layered double hydroxides offers a road to functional (bio)catalysts. With resonant soft x‐ray spectroscopy we probe the electronic structure of these systems and observe activation and passivation of electronic states as well as bond formation between the amino acid and the LDH upon intercalation.

Abstract Background Cardiac remodelling, a crucial aspect of heart failure, is commonly investigated in preclinical models by quantifying cardiomyocyte cross‐sectional area (CSA) and microvascular density (MVD) via histological methods, such as immunohistochemistry.
