Heat Transfer and Flow Characteristics of Pseudoplastic Nanomaterial Liquid Flowing over the Slender Cylinder with Variable Characteristics

open access: yesCrystals, 2021
The present article investigates heat transfer and pseudoplastic nanomaterial liquid flow over a vertical thin cylinder. The Buongiorno model is used for this analysis.

Magnetohydrodynamic peristalsis of variable viscosity Jeffrey liquid with heat and mass transfer

open access: yesNuclear Engineering and Technology, 2017
The mathematical aspects of Dufour and Soret phenomena on the peristalsis of magnetohydrodynamic (MHD) Jeffrey liquid in a symmetric channel are presented. Fluid viscosity is taken variably. Lubrication approach has been followed.

Effects of Variable Viscosity in Unsteady Magnetohydrodynamic Hybrid Nanofluid Flow over Stretching/Shrinking Cylinder with Partial Slip and Stefan Blowing

open access: yesNanomanufacturing, 2023
In the manufacturing sector, transport phenomena near the stagnation region are frequent, particularly in the polymer and extrusion processes, which require continuous improvement to raise the process’s quality standards.

An exploration of viscosity models in the realm of kinetic theory of liquids originated fluids

open access: yesResults in Physics, 2017
The preeminent perspective of this article is to study flow of an Eyring Powell fluid model past a penetrable plate. To find the effects of variable viscosity on fluid model, continuity, momentum and energy equations are elaborated.

Simultaneous effects of single wall carbon nanotube and effective variable viscosity for peristaltic flow through annulus having permeable walls

open access: yesResults in Physics, 2017
The current article deals with the combine effects of single wall carbon nanotubes and effective viscosity for the peristaltic flow of nanofluid through annulus. The nature of the walls is assumed to be permeable.

Nanoparticle-Dependent Viscosity and Viscous Dissipation Effects in Mixed Convection Flow of Ammonia-Water Nanofluid with Non-Linear Boussinesq Dynamics [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Applied and Computational Mechanics
This study integrates the single-phase nanofluid viscosity model into the generalized Buongiorno model to analyze the combined convection of an ammonia-water nanofluid over a vertical flat plate.

Entropy generation analysis in transient variable viscosity couette flow between two concentric pipes

open access: yesJournal of Thermal Science and Technology, 2014
This paper investigates numerically the entropy generation rate in an transient variable viscosity Couette flow between two concentric pipes. The nonlinear governing equations for momentum and energy balance are obtained and solved using semi ...

Variable-viscosity flows in heated and cooled channels

open access: yesJournal of Fluid Mechanics, 1977
An asymptotic description is given of Newtonian fluid flow in a channel which is suddenly heated or cooled. The viscosity is assumed to be purely a function of temperature. The asymptotic approximation is that the downstream viscosity at the channel wall differs by an order of magnitude from that in the upstream flow.

Slip Flow and Heat Transfer of Nanofluids over a Porous Plate Embedded in a Porous Medium with Temperature Dependent Viscosity and Thermal Conductivity

open access: yesApplied Sciences, 2016
It is well known that the best way of convective heat transfer is the flow of nanofluids through a porous medium. In this regard, a mathematical model is presented to study the effects of variable viscosity, thermal conductivity and slip conditions on ...

Variable viscosity and thermophoresis effects on Darcy mixed convective heat and mass transfer past a porous wedge in the presence of chemical reaction [PDF]

open access: yesTheoretical and Applied Mechanics, 2009
An analysis is presented to investigate the effect of thermophoresis particle deposition and variable viscosity on Darcy mixed convective heat and mass transfer of a viscous, incompressible fluid past a porous wedge in the presence of chemical reaction ...
