Study on Precursor of Infrared Temperature Critical Slowing in Coal Sample Uniaxial Compression Failure

open access: yesMeikuang Anquan, 2020
To study the effective precursor information of the coal sample under loading and damage process, we carried out the uniaxial compression loading experiment of coal sample, analyzed the infrared radiation temperature variation characteristics of the ...

Clinical Insights Into Hypercalcemia of Malignancy in Childhood

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Hypercalcemia of malignancy (HCM) is a rare but life‐threatening metabolic emergency in children that occurs in less than 1% of pediatric cancer cases, with a reported incidence ranging from 0.4% to 1.0% across different studies. While it is observed in 10%–20% of adult malignancies, pediatric HCM remains relatively uncommon.

Survival Outcomes and Complications Among Canadian Children With Retinoblastoma: A Population‐Based Report From CYP‐C

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Purpose Retinoblastoma (RB) is the most common pediatric ocular cancer, yet population‐based data on survival and risk factors remain limited. This study aimed to describe survival in a large national RB cohort and identify predictors of death and complications.

Personalized Selumetinib Dosing in Pediatric Neurofibromatosis Type 1: Insights From a Pilot Therapeutic Drug Monitoring Study

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective To evaluate selumetinib exposure using therapeutic drug monitoring (TDM) in pediatric patients with neurofibromatosis type 1 (NF1) and plexiform neurofibromas (PN), assess interpatient pharmacokinetic variability, and explore the relationship between drug exposure, clinical response, and adverse effects.

Exposure to a SARS-CoV-2 infection at work: development of an international job exposure matrix (COVID-19-JEM)

open access: yesScandinavian Journal of Work, Environment & Health, 2022
OBJECTIVE: This study aimed to construct a job exposure matrix (JEM) for risk of becoming infected with the SARS-CoV-2 virus in an occupational setting. METHODS: Experts in occupational epidemiology from three European countries (Denmark, The Netherlands

Adherence to Protocol Recommendations for Children With Wilms Tumour in Two Consecutive Studies in the United Kingdom and Ireland—Does Variation Matter?

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background and Aims Wilms tumour (WT) has excellent event‐free and overall survival (OS). However, small differences exist between countries participating in the same international study. This led us to examine variation in adherence to protocol recommendations as a potential contributing factor.

One-way analysis of variance with unequal variances. [PDF]

open access: yesProceedings of the National Academy of Sciences, 1989
We have designed a statistical test that eliminates the assumption of equal group variances from one-way analysis of variance. This test is preferable to the standard technique of trial-and-error transformation and can be shown to be an extension of the Behrens-Fisher T test to the case of three or more means.

Sirolimus for Extracranial Arteriovenous Malformations: A Scoping Review of the Evidence in Syndromic and Non‐Syndromic Cases

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Arteriovenous malformations (AVMs) are rare, high‐flow, vascular anomalies that can occur either sporadically or as part of a genetic syndrome. AVMs can progress with serious morbidity and even mortality if left unchecked. Sirolimus is an mTOR inhibitor that is effective in low‐flow vascular malformations; however, its role in AVMs is unclear.

Accelerated Variance Reduced Stochastic ADMM

open access: yes, 2017
Recently, many variance reduced stochastic alternating direction method of multipliers (ADMM) methods (e.g.\ SAG-ADMM, SDCA-ADMM and SVRG-ADMM) have made exciting progress such as linear convergence rates for strongly convex problems.
