In-field Phasing at the Upgraded GMRT

open access: yesThe Astrophysical Journal
In time-domain radio astronomy with arrays, voltages from individual antennas are added together with proper delay and fringe correction to form the beam in real time.

Symmetry‐Driven Unconventional Magnetoelectric Coupling in Perovskite Altermagnets: From Bulk to the Two‐Dimensional Limit

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
The symmetry‐driven coexistence of altermagnetism and (anti)ferroelectricity in perovskites shows a strong dimensional dependence. Upon reducing the system from bulk to the two‐dimensional limit, only C‐type antiferromagnetic order retains ferroelectrically switchable altermagnetism, whereas A‐ and G‐type orders become conventional antiferromagnets ...

A Decade of Transit-timing Measurements Confirm Resonance in the K2-19 System

open access: yesThe Astronomical Journal
K2-19 is a star, slightly smaller than the Sun, that hosts three transiting planets. Two of these, K2-19 b and c, are between the size of Neptune and Saturn and have orbital periods near a 3:2 commensurability, and exhibit strong transit-timing ...

Least squares deconvolution of the stellar intensity and polarization spectra

open access: yes, 2010
Least squares deconvolution (LSD) is a powerful method of extracting high-precision average line profiles from the stellar intensity and polarization spectra.

Biomimetic Polymerization of Tellurocysteine: Breaking the Natural Amino Acid Radioprotection Limitation

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Inspired by natural amino acid polymer‐melanin systems, this study strategically incorporated tellurocysteine to develop advanced radiation‐shielding materials. This approach transformed the primary interaction mechanism between melanin‐based materials and incident photons from Compton scattering to the photoelectric effect. Tellurocysteine‐polymerized

Orbital Decay of the Ultra-hot Jupiter TOI-2109b: Tidal Constraints and Transit-timing Analysis

open access: yesThe Astrophysical Journal
TOI-2109b is the ultra-hot Jupiter with the shortest orbital period (∼16 hr) yet discovered. At this close distance, strong tidal interactions can produce a significant exchange of angular momentum with the star.

Investigating reciprocity failure in 1.7-micron cut-off HgCdTe detectors

open access: yes, 2010
Flux dependent non-linearity (reciprocity failure) in HgCdTe NIR detectors with 1.7 micron cut-off was investigated. A dedicated test station was designed and built to measure reciprocity failure over the full dynamic range of near infrared detectors ...

Chiral‐Encoded Pt‐Ir Surfaces as Apparent Spin Filter for Enhanced Oxygen Reduction

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
The Chiral‐Induced Spin Selectivity (CISS) effect is employed in chiral‐encoded mesoporous Platinum‐Iridium (Pt‐Ir) electrocatalysts to enhance the oxygen reduction reaction (ORR). A break in spin symmetry leads to a substantial antagonistic difference in activity (>200%) when comparing two enantiomorphs of the same electrode.

Mapping the Orbital Landscape of Perturbing Planet Solutions for Single-planet Systems with TTVs

open access: yesThe Astrophysical Journal
There are now thousands of single-planet systems observed to exhibit transit timing variations (TTVs), yet we largely lack any interpretation of the implied masses responsible for these perturbations.
