A planetary companion around the K giant eps Corona Borealis
Aims. Our aim is to search for and study the origin of the low-amplitude and long-periodic radial velocity (RV) variations in K giants. Methods. We present high-resolution RV measurements of K2 giant epsilon CrB from February 2005 to January 2012 using ...

Gold bipyramids can act as efficient plasmonic nanoheaters, but they often reshape during laser heating. This study shows that oxygen nanobubbles drive oxidative etching and that surface ligands control stability. CTAB‐ and citrate‐coated particles blunt and lose optical performance, whereas polystyrene sulfonate preserves shape and heating by ...

Narrow-Band Spectrophotometry of Comet Hale-Bopp (C/1995 O1) Near Perihelion I.: Photometric Behavior of C2, C3, CN Molecular Bands [PDF]
We present the results from narrow-band spectrophotometry of Comet Hale-Bopp (C/1995 O1) near perihelion obtained at Sobaeksan Optical Astronomy Observatory 61cm telescope equipped with PM 512 CCD camera (512 x 512, 0.5''/pixel) and narrow-band filter ...

Variational views for self-supervised learning in radio astronomy
Modern astronomical surveys are producing progressively larger and more complex datasets, making traditional supervised approaches that rely on extensive labelled catalogues increasingly difficult. Consequently, pre-training using self-supervised learning (SSL), which offers a scalable route by extracting structure directly from unlabelled images, is ...

Visible-IR Colors and Lightcurve Analysis of Two Bright TNOs: 1999 TC36 and 1998 SN165
We report on observations of two bright Trans-Neptunian Objects (TNOs) - 1999 TC36 and 1998 SN165}- during two observational campaigns, as part of the Meudon Multicolor Survey of Outer Solar System Objects. V-J color was measured for 1999 TC36 (V-J=2.34+/

Probing the variability of the fine-structure constant with the VLT/UVES [PDF]
We assess the cosmological variability of the fine-structure constant from the analysis of an ensemble of Fe II absorption lines at the redshift z=1.15 toward the QSO HE 0515-4414 by means of the standard many-multiplet (MM) technique and its revision ...

Chirality and Organization of Adsorbates Modify Surface Phonon Dynamics
Chirality and molecular organization are shown to influence surface phonon dynamics in gold films. Time‐resolved Joule heating measurements reveal that ordered homochiral monolayers increase the Debye temperature and disordered layers reduce it, while ordered racemic controls have no effect.

TOI-4495: A Pair of Aligned, Near-resonant Sub-Neptunes That Likely Experienced Overstable Migration
We report the discovery of a sub-Neptune and a Neptune-like planet ( R ${}_{b}=2.4{8}_{-0.10}^{+0.14}$ R _⊕ , R ${}_{c}=4.0{3}_{-0.15}^{+0.23}$ R _⊕ ) orbiting the F-type star TOI-4495.

Heliocentric Potential (HCP) Prediction Model for Nowscast of Aviation Radiation Dose [PDF]
It is well known that the space radiation dose over the polar route should be carefully considered especially when the space weather shows sudden disturbances such as CME and flares.

Suzaku observation of the Phoenix Galaxy [PDF]
In recent years, several Seyfert 2 galaxies have been discovered that change state when observed in X-rays a few years apart, switching from Compton-thin to reflection-dominated or viceversa. We observed a member of this class of "Changing-look" sources,
