Quasi variational inequalities

open access: yesApplied Mathematics Letters, 1988
AbstractProjection Technique is used to suggest a unified and general iterative algorithm for computing the approximate solution of a new class of quasi variational inequalities. The convergence properties of this algorithm are also considered. Several special cases which can be obtained from the general results are also discussed.

“I never realized how hard recovery is.” A quasi‐experimental evaluation of a youth participatory action research project for opioid prevention

open access: yesAmerican Journal of Community Psychology, EarlyView.
Abstract Youth participatory action research (YPAR) has been effectively used for substance use prevention. Yet, YPAR has not been evaluated for opioids, which negatively impact individuals and communities across the United States. The current study evaluated an opioid‐focused YPAR project.

Existence of Solutions for -Generalized Vector Variational-Like Inequalities

open access: yesJournal of Inequalities and Applications, 2010
We introduce and study a class of -generalized vector variational-like inequalities and a class of -generalized strong vector variational-like inequalities in the setting of Hausdorff topological vector spaces. An equivalence result concerned with two

Penalization for variational inequalities

open access: yesApplied Mathematics Letters, 2009
AbstractThis work illustrates a penalization mechanism, using the distance function as a tool, for providing necessary and sufficient conditions for the solutions of the nonsmooth variational inequality problems.

Exploring the link between the risk of violent injury in adolescents and historic redlining practices

open access: yesAmerican Journal of Community Psychology, EarlyView.
Abstract Violent injuries tend to cluster together geospatially. The discriminatory housing practice of redlining undertaken by the United States federal government in the 1930s has been repeatedly linked with various contemporary community‐level disparities.

Generalized Vector Variational-Like Inequalities

open access: yesJournal of Mathematical Extension, 2010
In this paper, we consider different types of generalized vector variational-like inequalities and study the relationships between their solutions.

Navigating an STI diagnosis: The role of social support, intergenerational learning, and transformative growth among Black women

open access: yesAmerican Journal of Community Psychology, EarlyView.
Abstract Black women face a myriad of challenges that heighten their susceptibility to sexually transmitted infections (STIs), resulting in a disproportionate impact of STIs among this population. Yet, there is a lack of research that explores how women navigate these diagnoses with resilience.

A study of variational inequalities for set-valued mappings

open access: yesJournal of Inequalities and Applications, 1999
In this paper, Ky Fan's KKM mapping principle is used to establish the existence of solutions for simultaneous variational inequalities. By applying our earlier results together with Fan–Glicksberg fixed point theorem, we prove some existence ...
