Plasma extrachromosomal circular DNA as a biomarker in EGFR‐targeted therapy of non‐small cell lung cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Detection of extrachromosomal circular DNA (eccDNA) in plasma samples from EGFR‐mutated non‐small cell lung cancer patients. Plasma was collected before and during treatment with the EGFR‐tyrosine kinase inhibitor osimertinib. Plasma eccDNA was detected in all cancer samples, and the presence of the EGFR gene on eccDNA serves as a potential biomarker ...

Survivin and Aurora Kinase A control cell fate decisions during mitosis

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Aurora A interacts with survivin during mitosis and regulates its centromeric role. Loss of Aurora A activity mislocalises survivin, the CPC and BubR1, leading to disruption of the spindle checkpoint and triggering premature mitotic exit, which we refer to as ‘mitotic slippage’.

Reduced vascular leakage correlates with breast carcinoma T regulatory cell infiltration but not with metastatic propensity

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
A mouse model for vascular normalization and a human breast cancer cohort were studied to understand the relationship between vascular leakage and tumor immune suppression. For this, endothelial and immune cell RNAseq, staining for vascular function, and immune cell profiling were employed.

A discontinuous problem involving the p-Laplacian operator and critical exponent in $mathbb{R}^N$

open access: yesElectronic Journal of Differential Equations, 2003
Using convex analysis, we establish the existence of at least two nonnegative solutions for the quasilinear problem $$ -Delta_{p}u=H(u-a)u^{p^*-1} +lambda h(x)quadhbox{in }mathbb{R}^N $$ where $Delta_{p}u$ is the $p$-Laplacian operator, $H$ is the ...

A guide to reactive oxygen species in tumour hypoxia: measurement and therapeutic implications

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Hypoxia reshapes tumour redox landscapes by altering compartmental ROS production (mitochondria, NOX, ER, peroxisomes). Accurate interpretation requires oxygen‐contextualised measurement (live biosensors, chemical probes, EPR, LC–MS) and awareness of artefacts (reoxygenation, probe specificity).

Existence of solutions to nonlocal elliptic equations with discontinuous terms

open access: yesElectronic Journal of Differential Equations, 2012
In this article, we study the existence of nonnegative solutions for the elliptic partial differential equation $$displaylines{ -[M(|u|^{p}_{1,p})]^{1,p}Delta_{p}u = f(x,u) quadhbox{in } Omega , cr u = 0 quadhbox{on } partialOmega , }$$ where ...

In vitro models of cancer‐associated fibroblast heterogeneity uncover subtype‐specific effects of CRISPR perturbations

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Development of therapies targeting cancer‐associated fibroblasts (CAFs) necessitates preclinical model systems that faithfully represent CAF–tumor biology. We established an in vitro coculture system of patient‐derived pancreatic CAFs and tumor cell lines and demonstrated its recapitulation of primary CAF–tumor biology with single‐cell transcriptomics ...
