Noise reduction and deflection of pipe tunnel data via intelligent optimization and modal decomposition

open access: yesDiscover Applied Sciences
Urban underground engineering construction widely uses pipe jacking tunnels due to their trenchless characteristics. However, environmental noise easily affects the monitoring data, making it difficult to extract deflection data.

Biomass Native Structure Into Functional Carbon‐Based Catalysts for Fenton‐Like Reactions

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This study indicates that eight biomasses with 2D flaky and 1D acicular structures influence surface O types, morphology, defects, N doping, sp2 C, and Co nanoparticles loading in three series of carbon, N‐doped carbon, and cobalt/graphitic carbon. This work identifies how these structural factors impact catalytic pathways, enhancing selective electron

A decomposition clustering ensemble learning approach for forecasting foreign exchange rates

open access: yesJournal of Management Science and Engineering, 2019
A decomposition clustering ensemble (DCE) learning approach is proposed for forecasting foreign exchange rates by integrating the variational mode decomposition (VMD), the self-organizing map (SOM) network, and the kernel extreme learning machine (KELM).

Exploring Curvature Effects in Direct‐Written 3D Curved Hollow Magnetic Nanoshells

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Fabricated by a hybrid FEBID/CVD method, 3D PtC/Co3Fe core–shell heterostructures with engineered curvature and shell thickness exhibit complex reversal modes with axially symmetric N'eel‐type domain walls. XMCD‐PEEM combined with full‐scale micromagnetic simulations reveal how curvature and thickness govern the domain wall energy landscape and shape ...

Application of Auto-Regulative Sparse Variational Mode Decomposition in Mechanical Fault Diagnosis

open access: yes, 2023
The variational mode decomposition (VMD) method has been widely applied in the field of mechanical fault diagnosis as an excellent non-recursive signal processing tool. The performance of VMD depends on its inherent prior parameters.

Counterion Dependent Side‐Chain Relaxation Stiffens a Chemically Doped Thienothiophene Copolymer

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Oxidation of a thienothiophene copolymer, p(g3TT‐T2), via different doping strategies and dopant molecules resulted in materials with similar oxidation levels and a high electrical conductivity of ≈100 S cm−1. However, mechanical properties varied significantly, with sub‐glass transition temperatures and elastic moduli spanning from –44°C to –3°C and ...

Application of Variational Mode Decomposition in Wind Power Fault Diagnosis

open access: yesJixie chuandong, 2015
As to mode mixing problem of empirical mode decomposition( EMD) and local mean decomposition( LMD) when they are applied to field data decomposition,a new wind turbine fault diagnosis method based on variational mode decomposition( VMD) is put forward ...

Airborne Radio-Echo Sounding Data Denoising Using Particle Swarm Optimization and Multivariate Variational Mode Decomposition

open access: yes, 2023
Radio-echo sounding (RES) is widely used for polar ice sheet detection due to its wide coverage and high efficiency. The multivariate variational mode decomposition (MVMD) algorithm for the processing of RES data is an improvement to the variational mode

Intermediate Resistive State in Wafer‐Scale Vertical MoS2 Memristors Through Lateral Silver Filament Growth for Artificial Synapse Applications

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
In MOCVD MoS2 memristors, a current compliance‐regulated Ag filament mechanism is revealed. The filament ruptures spontaneously during volatile switching, while subsequent growth proceeds vertically through the MoS2 layers and then laterally along the van der Waals gaps during nonvolatile switching.
