Modified Halpern Iterative Method for Solving Hierarchical Problem and Split Combination of Variational Inclusion Problem in Hilbert Space

open access: yesMathematics, 2019
The purpose of this paper is to introduce the split combination of variational inclusion problem which combines the concept of the modified variational inclusion problem introduced by Khuangsatung and Kangtunyakarn and the split variational inclusion ...

A VARIATION ON SELBERG'S APPROXIMATION PROBLEM [PDF]

open access: yesMathematika, 2014
Let $α\in\mathbb{C}$ in the upper half-plane and let $I$ be an interval. We construct an analogue of Selberg's majorant of the characteristic function of $I$ that vanishes at the point $α$. The construction is based on the solution to an extremal problem with positivity and interpolation constraints.

A Nonconvex Variational Problem with Constraints

open access: yesSIAM Journal on Control and Optimization, 1995
The authors consider the problem of the calculus of variations \[ \inf\Biggl\{ \int^T_0 f(u'(t))dt\mid u\in W^{1, p}(0, T; \mathbb{R}^n),\;u(0)= a,\;u(T)= b,\;u(t)\not\in \Gamma\Biggr\},\tag{P} \] where \(f\) is a nonconvex lower semicontinuous function satisfying some growth conditions and \(\Gamma\) is an open convex polygon included in \(\mathbb{R ...

Mixed Variational Inequality Problem Involving Generalized Yosida Approximation Operator in q-Uniformly Smooth Banach Space

open access: yesJournal of Mathematics, 2022
A mixed variational inequality problem involving generalized Yosida approximation operator is considered and studied in q-uniformly smooth Banach space.

The Relationship Between Physical Activity and Left Ventricular Remodeling in Childhood Cancer Survivors Treated With Anthracyclines: A Cross‐Sectional Study

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Introduction Anthracycline‐related cardiac remodeling precedes heart failure in childhood cancer survivors. The objectives of this study were to determine the relationships between patient‐specific factors, moderate‐to‐vigorous physical activity (MVPA), and cardiac remodeling.

Generalized Newton’s method for solving nonlinear and nondifferentiable algebraic systems

open access: yesJournal of Numerical Analysis and Approximation Theory, 2015
In this paper a model based on non-smooth equations is proposed for solving a non-linear and non-differential equation obtained by discretization of a quasi-variational inequality that models the frictional contact problem. The main aim of this paper is

Misperception of Body Weight After Childhood Cancer

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Misperception of body weight can negatively impact the weight management efforts of childhood cancer survivors (CCSs). Both being overweight or underweight are associated with chronic health conditions commonly observed in CCS; therefore, accurate weight perception is critical for reducing long‐term health risks.

Damping Problem for Control System with Delay with Different Number of Inputs and Outputs

open access: yesСовременная математика: Фундаментальные направления
We consider the damping problem for a nonstationary control system described by a system of differential-difference equations of neutral type with smooth matrix coefficients and several delays.

Natural Killer Cells in Paediatric Soft Tissue Sarcomas: A Systematic Review

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Paediatric soft tissue sarcomas (pSTS) are a rare and heterogeneous group of malignant tumours arising in tissues of mesenchymal origin. The role of natural killer (NK) cells in pSTS remains poorly understood, with evidence fragmented across small preclinical studies and early‐phase clinical trials.
