Dynamic general equilibrium analysis of improved weed management in Australia's winter cropping systems [PDF]
A recent analysis indicated that the direct financial cost of weeds to Australia’s winter grain sectorwas approximately $A1.2bn in 1998–1999. Costs of thismagnitude represent a large recurring productivity loss in an agricultural sector that is ...

Characteristics of various catch crops in the organic vegetable production in northern climate conditions : results from and on-farm study [PDF]
Catch crops are generally grown during the period between two main crops to prevent nutrient leaching and thus reduce nutrient losses from the system. Catch crops in Finnish organic vegetable farms are sown after the incorporation of green manure crop to

LDAcoop: Integrating non‐linear population dynamics into the analysis of clonogenic growth in vitro
Limiting dilution assays (LDAs) quantify clonogenic growth by seeding serial dilutions of cells and scoring wells for colony formation. The fraction of negative wells is plotted against cells seeded and analyzed using the non‐linear modeling of LDAcoop.

Effects of No-Tillage Production Practices on Crop Yields as Influenced by Crop and Growing Environment Factors [PDF]
This paper evaluated differences between yields of no-tillage compared to conventional or reduced tillage and their associated downside risk. Six crops were evaluated along with how those yields and risks differed by various environmental factors such ...

Therapeutic strategies for MMAE‐resistant bladder cancer through DPP4 inhibition
We established monomethyl auristatin E (MMAE)‐resistant bladder cancer (BC) cell lines by exposure to progressively increasing concentrations of MMAE in vitro. RNA sequencing showed DPP4 expression was increased in MMAE‐resistant BC cells. Both si‐DPP4 and the DPP4 inhibitor sitagliptin suppressed the viability of MMAE‐resistant BC cells.

BURNING CROP RESIDUE: Farmers’ Choice Among Various Practices
Crop residue management practices adopted by farmers have a significant effect on pollution created by the agricultural sector. Broadly, farmers are following the practice of removal, burning and incorporation for the management of crop residue. To find out the determinants of practices adopted by farmers for the management of rice residue; the ...
