A vascular-urinary fistula is defined as a confirmed abnormal passageway between any vascular structure and any part of the urinary tract. Arterio-ureteral fistula is the most common type. Risk factors for developing this condition include previous pelvic radiation or surgery, vascular surgery or stenting, and indwelling ureteral stents. An increase in

Broncho-oesophageal fistula with vascular malformation
European Respiratory Journal, 1988We present a patient with a type III congenital broncho-oesophageal fistula and a connection between the systemic and the pulmonary circulation. The congenital fistula caused chronic bronchopulmonary suppuration with bronchiectasis which in turn was the cause of a left-to-right shunt, probably through multiple precapillary or capillary anastomoses.

Vascular-enteric fistula: diagnosis by colonoscopy
Gastrointestinal Endoscopy, 1982Aortoenteric fistula is a rare problem and is often not considered a diagnostic possibility in a patient presenting with gastrointestinal hemorrhage.' Between 0.6 and 5% of aortic vascular procedures are eventually complicated by such fistulas, and the history of a prior vascular reconstructive procedure should always suggest this diagnosis.

Vascular-enteric fistula: Diagnosis by colonoscopy
Gastrointestinal Endoscopy, 1995A 67-year-old man had a past history of abdominal aortic aneurysm repair in 1982 with an aortobifemoral graft. He was admitted to his local hospital on October 26, 1992 with a 2 week history of fever, chills and left lower leg swelling. He was found to be confused with a tender and swollen left calf. Blood cultures were positive for Bacteriodes species.

Vascular Remodeling of Arteriovenous Fistula
ASME 2009 Summer Bioengineering Conference, Parts A and B, 2009Arteriovenous (AV) fistula failure is a major clinical problem for the 350,000 patients currently on hemodialysis in the United States. The reasons for this failure are mainly attributed to venous stenosis due to neointimal hyperplasia together with a possible failure of vascular dilatation [1].
