This review examines how cellular behavior is regulated by mechanical cues transmitted through soft biomaterials, from single‐cell mechanosensing to tissue‐level adaptation. It highlights why physiological relevance, rather than model complexity alone, is critical for translational mechanobiology and introduces a scoring framework linking material ...

Nonpenetrating vascular clips for small-caliber anastomosis [PDF]
In the search for better anastomosing techniques, an improved vascular stapler device (VCS clip applier system(R)) has been introduced. The system uses nonpenetrating clips to approximate everted vessel walls. The objective of this study was to determine

Factors associated with patency following angioplasty of hemodialysis fistulae [PDF]
Purpose: Patency after percutaneous transluminal angioplasty of native hemodialysis arteriovenous fistulae (AVFs) is highly variable. This study aimed to identify predictors of patency following angioplasty in native AVFs.

We introduce a new fabrication method that overcomes the current limitation of tubular gap electrospinning. We successfully fabricated a seamless hollow tube with fibers aligned along the longitudinal axis in diameters as small as 300 µm, and then reinforced it using 4‐axis 3D printing.

The clinical utility of vascular mapping with Doppler ultrasound prior to arteriovenous fistula construction for hemodialysis access [PDF]
Bozok, Sahin/0000-0002-1256-5055Purpose: To compare the outcomes of vascular access (VA) procedures performed using physical examination (PE) alone to PE and ultrasound vein mapping for assessment of patients needing hemodialysis access.

What if human skin could remain fully alive and functional outside the body for weeks? A New Alternative Method (NAM) based on a vascularized full‐thickness skin microphysiological system achieves precisely this, preserving native vasculature, resident immunity, and metabolic activity for up to three weeks, while faithfully recapitulating radiation ...
