Developmental and Epileptic Encephalopathy due to Biallelic Pathogenic Variants in PIGM
ABSTRACT Objective PIGM encodes a critical enzyme in the glycosylphosphatidylinositol (GPI)‐anchor biosynthesis pathway. While promoter‐region mutations in PIGM have been associated with a relatively mild phenotype characterized by portal vein thrombosis and absence seizures, recent evidence suggests that coding‐region mutations result in a more severe

Routine use of completion imaging after infrainguinal bypass is not associated with higher bypass graft patency [PDF]
BACKGROUND: Significant variability exists in completion imaging (CIM) after infrainguinal lower extremity bypass (LEB). We evaluated the use of CIM and compared graft patency in patients treated by surgeons who performed routine CIM vs those who ...

Arteriovenous fistulas are associated with superior outcomes in very elderly hemodialysis patients: a nationwide cohort study [PDF]
Background/Aims The optimal vascular access strategy for very elderly patients initiating hemodialysis (HD) remains unclear. Arteriovenous fistulas (AVFs) offer long-term benefits but may be limited due to vascular aging.

ABSTRACT Objective High‐resolution MRI enables detailed assessment of intracranial vessel wall pathology in moyamoya vasculopathy. We aimed to classify adult moyamoya vasculopathy etiologies using high‐resolution MRI and to examine subtype‐specific associations between high‐resolution MRI features and ischemic infarction.

Early Recognition of Treatment‐Responsive Rapidly Progressive Dementia: The Modified STAM3mP Score
ABSTRACT Early identification of patients with treatment‐responsive rapidly progressive dementia (RPD) is important as early treatment improves outcomes. The STAM3P score identifies treatment‐responsive RPD using “high risk” presenting features. We optimized performance by adding a time component (i.e., dementia within 3 months) and validated the ...

Risk factors influencing the patency of vascular access.
