Skeletal muscle vasodilatation during maximal exercise in health and disease [PDF]
Leg blood flow increases almost linearly with exercise intensity and reaches peak values at maximal exercise. This is achieved by the combination of a small increase in perfusion pressure combined with massive vasodilatation.

Relation between body mass index and endothelium-dependent vasodilatation in healthy postmenopausal women. [PDF]
OBJECTIVE: To evaluate whether endothelium-dependent vasodilatation is related to anthropometric parameters in 105 healthy postmenopausal women 47-68 years of age.

Background Microvascular anastomosis patency is adversely affected by local and systemic factors. Impaired intimal recovery and endothelial mechanisms promoting thrombus formation at the anastomotic site are common etiological factors of reduced ...

Protection of protease-activated receptor 2 mediated vasodilatation against angiotensin II-induced vascular dysfunction in mice [PDF]
Background: Under conditions of cardiovascular dysfunction, protease-activated receptor 2 (PAR2) agonists maintain vasodilatation activity, which has been attributed to increased cyclooxygenase-2, nitric oxide synthase and calcium-activated potassium ...

Acutely lowering salivary pH (with sugar‐containing acidic gum vs. sugar‐free gum) augments salivary nitrate reduction to nitrite, plasma nitrite concentration, and blood pressure lowering with dietary nitrate. Modifying salivary pH reveals a mechanism by which the nitrate‐nitrite‐NO pathway may be upregulated/inhibited, with potential for other ...

Inflammation contributes to axon reflex vasodilatation evoked by iontophoresis of an alpha-1 adrenoceptor agonist [PDF]
Iontophoresis of aradrenoceptor agonists in the human forearm evoke axon reflex vasodilatation, possibly due to an accumulation of inflammatory agents at the site of iontophoresis.

SYMPATHETIC VASODILATATION IN THE RABBIT EAR [PDF]
Changes in the blood content of a 1 cm2portion of the intact rabbit's ear were studied with transillumination and a photocell. Stimulation of the post‐ganglionic sympathetic nerves produced a decrease in blood content, attributable to vasoconstriction, followed by an increased blood content, attributable to vasodilatation.

Abstract Aim Mosliciguat (BAY 1237592), the first soluble guanylate cyclase (sGC) activator in a dry powder inhaler (DPI), could potentially treat pulmonary hypertension with a more targeted delivery than systemic sGC stimulators. We report safety and tolerability of mosliciguat in healthy men.

Cutaneous vasodilatation elicited by body heating in calf, forearm, cheek, and ear [PDF]
When seminude subjects were exposed to a slowly rising ambient temperature (25—45 C), the onset of cutaneous vasodilatation occurred simultaneously in the calf, forearm, cheek, and ear, and the further progress of the vasodilatation was similar in the ...
