Intracranial vasospasm with delayed ischaemic deficit following epidermoid cyst resection [PDF]
Intracranial vasospasm following surgical removal of intracranial tumours is rare. To our knowledge there have been no previously reported cases of delayed vasospasm occurring post debulking of epidermoid cysts. We report a case in which vasospasm led to established cerebral infarction 2 weeks postoperatively.

Intracranial aneurysms (IA) are the most common cerebral vascular pathologies. Their rupture leads to the most dangerous subtype of stroke—aneurysmal subarachnoid hemorrhage (aSAH), which may be followed by cerebral vasospasm and ischemic sequelae ...

Hemorrhagic Infarction following Vasospasm due to Ruptured Intracranial Aneurysms
Among 293 cases admitted from May 1976 to December 1980, due to ruptured intracranial aneurysms, 219 cases (91 anterior communicating, 67 internal carotid, and 61 middle cerebral aneurysms) admitted within 14 days after the onset without intracerebral hematoma, sudden death, or troubled operation were chosed for analysis.

Signaling pathways in cerebral vasospasm
Cerebral vasospasm is a deadly complication following the rupture of intracranial aneurysms. One new development in the experimental treatment of cerebral vasospasm is the looming target of signaling pathways.

A complicated case of an intracranial epidermoid cyst
Intracranial vasospasm and ischaemic cerebrovascular accident (CVA) following surgical removal of intracranial tumours are rare. To our knowledge, vasospasm has been reported in only two cases following surgery, with one occurring two weeks post-surgery ...

Cerebral Vasospasm in Aged Patients with Ruptured Intracranial Aneurysms
The outcome of cerebral vasospasm in aged patients with ruptured intracranial aneurysms was compared with that in younger patients. Patients with brain damage due to previous stroke, intracerebral hematoma, or surgical complications were excluded from the study. The study population consisted of 143 patients hospitalized between 1982 and 1986.
