A Novel Three-Point Modulation Technique for Fractional-N Frequency Synthesizer Applications [PDF]
This paper presents a novel three-point modulation technique for fractional-N frequency synthesizer applications. Convention modulated fractional-N frequency synthesizers suffer from quantization noise, which degrades not only the phase noise performance

A simple modification to the well-known Schmitt trigger oscillator which results in a linear VCO with both triangular and square wave outputs is described. The circuit exhibits good linearity and relatively low temperature sensitivity using readily available commercial components.

A Noise-Shifting Differential Colpitts VCO [PDF]
A novel noise-shifting differential Colpitts VCO is presented. It uses current switching to lower phase noise by cyclostationary noise alignment and improve the start-up condition.

Current Trends in VCO-Based EPR
AbstractIn this article we provide an overview of chip-integrated voltage-controlled oscillator (VCO)-based EPR detection as a new paradigm in EPR sensing. After a brief motivation for this alternative detection method, we provide a self-contained overview of the detection principle, both for continuous-wave and pulsed detection.
