A Controllable KVCO Ring VCO Topology

2021 IEEE International Midwest Symposium on Circuits and Systems (MWSCAS), 2021
A differential ring Voltage Controlled Oscillator (VCO) with a controllable K VCO is introduced. The capability to control K VCO enables post-fabrication calibration of VCO gain, in order to reduce its vulnerability to Process, Voltage, and Temperature (PVT) variations.

Quasi-optical VCOs

IEEE Transactions on Microwave Theory and Techniques, 1993
Quasi-optical grid voltage controlled oscillators (VCOs) are presented. These VCOs are the first demonstration of a quasi-optical system consisting of several periodic arrays loaded with solid-state devices. A quasi-optical VCO consists of an array of oscillators, a variable capacitance array, and a mirror. The mirror provides feedback for locked power-

Reconfigurable Wideband VCOs

2005 IEEE 16th International Symposium on Personal, Indoor and Mobile Radio Communications, 2006
There are currently various mobile communication standards in use worldwide. Software-defined radio (SDR) enables the creation of multi-standard terminals, which can be flexibly used in various mobile communication systems by simply rewriting their software.

Linear sinusoidal VCO

International Journal of Electronics, 1988
This paper presents a sinusoidal oscillator whose frequency of oscillation bears a linear relationship with the controlling voltage Vx. The basic configuration incorporates two four-quadrant analogue multipliers in conjunction with RC network of which two capacitors are grounded. The circuit is found to show an ultra-low distortion output.
