Photothermal Transport for Guiding Nanoparticles Through the Vitreous Humor

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Nanosecond laser irradiation of the clinically approved dye indocyanine green (ICG) enables light‐guided nanoparticle transport within the vitreous humor. The combined use of ICG and pulsed laser illumination induces localized convection and thermophoresis, directing particles toward illuminated regions.

Hochschild duality, localization and smash products [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
In this work we study the class of algebras satisfying a duality property with respect to Hochschild homology and cohomology, as in [VdB]. More precisely, we consider the class of algebras $A$ such that there exists an invertible bimodule $U$ and an ...

On representations of Clifford algebras of ternary cubic forms

open access: yes, 2010
In this article, we provide an overview of a one-to-one correspondence between representations of the generalized Clifford algebra $C_f$ of a ternary cubic form $f$ and certain vector bundles (called Ulrich bundles) on a cubic surface $X$.

All Organic Fully Integrated Neuromorphic Crossbar Array

open access: yesAdvanced Electronic Materials, EarlyView.
In this work, the first fully integrated crossbar array of electrochemical random‐access memory (ECRAM) that is composed entirely of organic materials is represented. This array can perform inference and in situ parallel training and is capable of classifying linearly separable 2D and 3D classification tasks with high accuracy.

Channel-Width Dependent Enhancement in Nanoscale Field Effect Transistor [PDF]

open access: yes, 2008
We report the observation of channel-width dependent enhancement in nanoscale field effect transistors containing lithographically-patterned silicon nanowires as the conduction channel. These devices behave as conventional metal-oxide-semiconductor field-

Ultra-High Electro-Optic Activity Demonstrated in a Silicon-Organic Hybrid (SOH) Modulator

open access: yes, 2018
Efficient electro-optic (EO) modulators crucially rely on advanced materials that exhibit strong electro-optic activity and that can be integrated into high-speed and efficient phase shifter structures.

Acoustofluidic Patterning for Improved Microtissue Histology

open access: yesAdvanced NanoBiomed Research, EarlyView.
Microtissue histology is widely used to characterize microtissue phenotype and morphology. However, conventional microtissue histology workflows are inefficient and time‐consuming. This work introduces a novel embedding technique that uses acoustofluidics to improve the efficiency of microtissue histology and reduce the time required for data analysis.

Photometry Results for the Globular Clusters M10 and M12: Extinction Maps, Color-Magnitude Diagrams, and Variable Star Candidates

open access: yes, 2002
We report on photometry results of the equatorial globular clusters (GCs) M10 and M12. These two clusters are part of our sample of GCs which we are probing for the existence of photometrically varying eclipsing binary stars.

Effect of Time to Start of Biologic Therapy on Treatment Response in Childhood Arthritis: Results From the UCAN CAN‐DU Cohort

open access: yesArthritis &Rheumatology, EarlyView.
Objective To estimate the effect of time from symptom onset to start of biologic treatment on achieving inactive arthritis within six months in a cohort of patients with juvenile idiopathic arthritis (JIA). Methods The international UCAN CAN‐DU study prospectively enrolled patients with JIA across Canada and the Netherlands.
