Tobacco VDL Gene Encodes a Plastid DEAD Box RNA Helicase and Is Involved in Chloroplast Differentiation and Plant Morphogenesis [PDF]

open access: yesPlant Cell, 2000
The recessive nuclear vdl (for variegated and distorted leaf) mutant of tobacco was obtained by T-DNA insertion and characterized by variegated leaves and abnormal roots and flowers. Affected leaf tissues were white and distorted, lacked palisadic cells,

VDL-based iconic co-annotation in crisis management

2014 International Conference on Collaboration Technologies and Systems (CTS), 2014
Crisis management is typical collaborative work which requires multi types of actors to cooperate in decision making. Crisis Clever System (CCS) is a decision making environment based on emergency experience feedback and provides situation base for later cases.

Comparison of VDL modes in the aeronautical telecommunications network

Proceedings, IEEE Aerospace Conference, 2003
VHF digital link (VDL) has been identified as a method of communication between aircraft and ground stations in the aeronautical telecommunications network (ATN). Three different modes of VDL have been suggested for implementation. Simulations were conducted to compare the data transfer capabilities of VDL modes 2, 3, and 4.

Definition Einer Programmanalysemaschine in VDL

1978

Semantically Structured VDL-Based Iconic Tags System

2013
Iconic tags system based on Visual Distinctive Language has been developed and assessed improving tagging effectiveness by considering tagging quality and tagging speed. This amelioration benefits from semiotic interpretation of tag meaning and graphical code of tag structure.

A collisi on avoidance concept for VDL mode 2

2007 IEEE/AIAA 26th Digital Avionics Systems Conference, 2007
The FAA is currently investigating the migration path to data-enabled digital air traffic services using VDL mode 2. Under certain loading conditions, simulations have shown that VDL mode 2 cannot meet future delay requirements with more than a few dozen aircraft per channel.

Evaluation of VDL modes in the en-route domain

The 23rd Digital Avionics Systems Conference (IEEE Cat. No.04CH37576), 2005
In this paper we investigate the performance of VDL modes 2,3, and 4 in the en-route domain by simulating mobile aircraft that dynamically establish and disconnect links to the ground station. In simulation one, the aircraft modeled are within a single sector of airspace which is the current boundary for en-route aircraft communication.

VDL mode 3 digital voice operation

IEEE Aerospace and Electronic Systems Magazine, 2006
VHF data link (VDL) mode 3 is a digital TDMA communications system developed by the FAA and industry partners as a replacement for the existing 25 kHz analog AM systems currently used for VHF aeronautical communications. VDL mode 3 provides increased channel capacity and security for both voice and data link communications. This paper provides a report

Characteristics and Capacity of VDL Mode 2, 3, and 4 Subnetworks

Journal of Aerospace Computing, Information, and Communication, 2005
In the current National Airspace System (NAS), voice communications for Air Traffic Services (ATS) are transmitted by analog VHF radios. Aeronautical Operational Communications (AOC) use a character-oriented system operating in the VHF band known as Aircraft CommunicationsAddressing and Reporting System (ACARS).
