Mass loss from warm giants: Magnetic effects [PDF]
Among warm giant stars, rapid mass loss sets in along a well defined velocity dividing line (VDL). Hot corona also disappear close to the VDL and thermal pressure cannot drive the observed rapid mass loss in these stars.

Anarchic Yukawas and top partial compositeness: the flavour of a successful marriage
The top quark can be naturally singled out from other fermions in the Standard Model due to its large mass, of the order of the electroweak scale. We follow this reasoning in models of pseudo Nambu Goldstone Boson composite Higgs, which may derive from ...

ABSTRACT Objective To investigate the antimicrobial effect of 275 nm wavelength ultraviolet C (UV‐C) light on M. bovis using an affordable, broadly available modified handheld device and to determine if photoreactivation plays a role in bacterial resistance to UV‐C. Methods UV‐C therapy (UVCT) was evaluated in vitro using triplicates of 3 M.

Microwave‐Assisted Aqueous Synthesis of Gelatin‐Norbornene for Hydrogel Crosslinking and Bioprinting
A microwave‐assisted reaction is utilized to synthesize gelatin‐norbornene (GelNB), achieving a high degree of norbornene functionalization while reducing the macromer's upper critical solution temperature. The resulting GelNB macromer has high solubility at room temperature, facilitating light‐based 3‐dimensional (3D) printing of thiol‐norbornene ...

On a generic Verma module at the critical level over affine Lie superalgebras
We describe the structure of a Verma module with a generic highest weight at the critical level over a symmetrizable affine Lie superalgebra not of the type A(2k,2l)^{(4)}. We obtain the character formula for a simple module with a generic highest weight

A fully integrated analog processing‐in‐memory system is demonstrated, combining charge‐trap flash synapse arrays with a successive integration‐and‐rescaling neuron circuit. The architecture performs bit‐sliced analog accumulation with high linearity and low power, achieving efficient and scalable analog in‐memory computing and bridging device‐level ...

Abstract Flow cytometry (FCM) is a co‐criterion in myelodysplastic neoplasms (MDS) diagnostics, currently not used for prognostication. This study aimed to develop an FCM‐score predicting overall survival (OS) in MDS to improve early clinical patient prognostication.

Satellite system performance assessment for in-flight entertainment and air traffic control [PDF]
Concurrent satellite systems have been proposed for IFE (In-Flight Entertainment) communications, thus demonstrating the capability of satellites to provide multimedia access to users in aircraft cabin. At the same time, an increasing interest in the use
