Upregulated glycosyltransferase GALNT9 in neuroendocrine (NE) carcinomas increases O‐GalNAc glycosylation on cell membrane proteins, particularly Annexin‐A2 (ANXA2). Elevated O‐GalNAc glycan induces the binding of NE cancer cells to mannose binding lectin 2 (MBL2), activating the MBL‐MBL associated serine protease (MBL‐MASP) complement pathway in the ...

Chronological change in the incidence risk levels of mosquito-borne and rodent-borne infections
Introduction: We examined the change over time in the incidence risk levels of mosquito-borne and rodent-borne infections. Methods: We used the data of “Summary of risk assessment of vector-borne disease at Japanese Quarantine ports and airports ...

The Role of CAF‐derived Vitronectin in Promoting Colorectal Cancer Progression and Immunosuppression
Cancer‐associated fibroblast (CAF)‐derived VTN upregulates SLC6A8 expression in colorectal cancer (CRC) cells and macrophages through enhanced FAK phosphorylation. This modulation significantly increases the cellular uptake of creatine and ATP, promoting cancer progression and macrophage polarization.

This study proposes a novel model illustrating how quorum sensing (QS) regulates the type III‐A CRISPR‐Cas system in Staphylococcus aureus. The QS regulator AgrA suppresses CRISPR‐Cas activity by downregulating the transcriptional regulators SarA and ArcR.

This study identifies STAU2 as an oncogenic RNA‐binding protein (RBP) with elevated expression in pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC), where its high levels are significantly correlated with metastatic progression. It elucidates that STAU2 directly binds and regulates PALLD, while mediating the functional role of IQGAP1, thereby driving metastasis ...
