Every strongly definable $C^{r}G$ vector bundle admits a unique strongly definable $C^{infty}G$ vector bundle structure (Model theoretic aspects of the notion of independence and dimension) [PDF]

open access: yes, 2018
Let G be a compact subgroup of GL_{n}(mathbb{R}). We prove that every strongly definable C^{r}G vector bundle over an affine definable C^{infty}G manifold admits a unique strongly definable C^{infty}G vector bundle structure up to definable C^{infty}G ...

Vertical and complete lifts of sections of a (dual) vector bundle and Legendre duality

open access: yes, 2019
Using the covariant derivative for exterior forms of a (dual) vector bundle, the complete lift of an arbitrary section of a (dual) vector bundle is discovered.

Screening and epitope characterization of Nidogen‐2‐specific nanobodies

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Camel immunization and phage display were employed to generate high‐affinity VHH nanobodies against Nidogen‐2. After library construction, biopanning, ELISA screening, sequencing, and recombinant expression, selected nanobodies were purified and characterized, leading to the preliminary exploration of a nanobody‐based sandwich ELISA for specific ...

The natural vector bundle of the set of multivariate density functions

open access: yes, 2017
We find a description of the set of multivariate density functions with given marginals and introduce an associated vector bundle. The interest for the probability theory is restricted to the nonnegative elements in the sets of the derived vector bundle.

MiR‐513a promotes human erythroid differentiation by modulating c‐Jun

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
During early human erythropoiesis, miR‐513a promoted erythroid differentiation in primary human CD34+ hematopoietic stem‐progenitor cells and human TF‐1 erythroleukemic cells by indirectly decreasing c‐Jun and phospho‐c‐Jun expression, which are associated with increased GATA1 expression.

Evolutionarily divergent DUF4465 domains have a common vitamin B12‐binding function

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
We show that DUF4465 family proteins, widespread across bacteria from gut microbiomes, hydrothermal vents, and soil, share a common vitamin B12‐binding function. These augmented β‐jellyroll proteins bind vitamin B12 via extended loops. Our findings establish sequence‐diverse DUF4465 proteins as a widespread class of B12‐binding proteins, highlighting ...

Order of the canonical vector bundle over configuration spaces of spheres

open access: yes, 2018
Given a vector bundle, its (stable) order is the smallest positive integer t such that the t-fold self-Whitney sum is (stably) trivial. So far, the order and the stable order of the canonical vector bundle over configuration spaces of Euclidean spaces ...

Large‐scale bidirectional arrayed genetic screens identify OXR1 and EMC4 as modifiers of αSynuclein aggregation

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Activation of the mitochondrial protein OXR1 increases pSyn129 αSynuclein aggregation by lowering ATP levels and altering mitochondrial membrane potential, particularly in response to MSA‐derived fibrils. In contrast, ablation of the ER protein EMC4 enhances autophagic flux and lysosomal clearance, broadly reducing α‐synuclein aggregates.

Conformal Transformations of Space-Time as Vector Bundle Automorphisms

open access: yes, 2001
Conformal group of Minkowski space-time M is considered as a group of bundle automorphisms of a vector bundle U over M. 4-component spin-vectors (4-spinors) are sections of a subbundle of the tangent bundle over U.

Suppression of lung adenocarcinoma migration through organelle alkalization by human lactoferrin – albumin fusion

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
This paper reveals how human lactoferrin–albumin fusion (hLF‐HSA) potently suppresses lung adenocarcinoma cell migration. hLF‐HSA upregulates NHE7, leading to Golgi alkalization, disruption of the Golgi secretome, downregulation of MMP1, and reversal of EMT. These findings suggest a novel Golgi‐targeting strategy to suppress cancer cell migration.
