Vector Bundles over non-Hausdorff Manifolds [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2023
In this paper we generalise the theory of real vector bundles to a certain class of non-Hausdorff manifolds. In particular, it is shown that every vector bundle fibred over these non-Hausdorff manifolds can be constructed as a colimit of standard vector bundles.

MET variants with activating N‐lobe mutations identified in hereditary papillary renal cell carcinomas still require ligand stimulation

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
MET variants in the N‐lobe of the kinase domain, found in hereditary papillary renal cell carcinoma, require ligand stimulation to promote cell transformation, in contrast to other RTK variants. This suggests that HGF expression in the microenvironment is important for tumor growth in such patients. Their sensitivity to MET inhibitors opens the way for

On rank 2 vector bundles on Fano manifolds

open access: yes, 2012
In this work we deal with vector bundles of rank two on a Fano manifold $X$ with $b_2=b_4=1$. We study the nef and pseudoeffective cones of the corresponding projectivizations and how these cones are related to the decomposability of the vector bundle ...

TOMM20 as a driver of cancer aggressiveness via oxidative phosphorylation, maintenance of a reduced state, and resistance to apoptosis

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
TOMM20 increases cancer aggressiveness by maintaining a reduced state with increased NADH and NADPH levels, oxidative phosphorylation (OXPHOS), and apoptosis resistance while reducing reactive oxygen species (ROS) levels. Conversely, CRISPR‐Cas9 knockdown of TOMM20 alters these cancer‐aggressive traits.

Targeting the MDM2‐MDM4 interaction interface reveals an otherwise therapeutically active wild‐type p53 in colorectal cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study investigates an alternative approach to reactivating the oncosuppressor p53 in cancer. A short peptide targeting the association of the two p53 inhibitors, MDM2 and MDM4, induces an otherwise therapeutically active p53 with unique features that promote cell death and potentially reduce toxicity towards proliferating nontumor cells.

Existence of Rank Two Vector Bundles on Higher Dimensional Toric Varieties

open access: yes, 2012
In the mid 70's, Hartshorne conjectured that, for all n > 7, any rank 2 vector bundles on P^n is a direct sum of line bundles. This conjecture remains still open. In this paper, we construct indecomposable rank two vector bundles on a large class of Fano

Locally trivial quantum vector bundles and associated vector bundles [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2000
We define locally trivial quantum vector bundles (QVB) and QVB associated to locally trivial quantum principal fibre bundles. There exists a differential structure on the associated vector bundle coming from the differential structure on the principal bundle, which allows to define connections on the associated vector bundle associated to connections ...

Bigness of the tangent bundles of projective bundles over curves [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2022
In this short article, we determine the bigness of the tangent bundle $T_X$ of the projective bundle $X=\mathbb{P}_C(E)$ associated to a vector bundle $E$ on a smooth projective curve $C$.

Connection theory on differentiable fibre bundles: A concise introduction

open access: yesInternational Journal of Mathematics and Mathematical Sciences, 2006
The paper contains a partial review on the general connection theory on differentiable fibre bundles. Particular attention is paid on (linear) connections on vector bundles.
