Disturbance observer based current controller for vector controlled IM drives

In order to increase the accuracy of the current control loop, usually, well known parameter compensation and/or cross decoupling techniques are employed for advanced AC drives. In this paper, instead of using these techniques an observer-based current controller is proposed for vector controlled induction motor (IM) drives.

Vector based hysteresis current control scheme for vector controlled induction motor drives

Simple and novel vector based hysteresis current control schemes are presented for vector controlled induction motor drives. The proposed algorithm combines the principles of direct torque control (DTC) and field oriented control (FOC). The proposed algorithm generates the reference currents as per the principle of vector control algorithm.

A universal current vector controller for vector-controlled induction motor (IM) drives, based on control of motional electromotive force (MEMF), is presented. It is demonstrated that the rotor field orientation decouples not only flux and torque but also transformer electromotive force (TEMF) and MEMF in rotor.
