The comparative effects of landscape‐level forest fragmentation, forest area, and habitat on Connecticut bird communities

open access: yesEcosphere, Volume 16, Issue 10, October 2025.
Abstract I studied how breeding and wintering forest bird communities across Connecticut responded to variation in habitat characteristics, particularly landscape attributes such as forest fragmentation. I surveyed birds at 1815 points along 121 transects that traversed approximately 400 km of forest.

Vector-meson dominance and πΔ(1236) electroproduction

open access: yesNuclear Physics B, 1972
Abstract Predictions for πΔ(1236) electroproduction are given within the framework of vector-meson dominance. Comparison with experimental results on ep → e π + Δ o shows good agreement.

f1(1285) → e+e- decay and direct f1 production in e+e- collisions

open access: yesEPJ Web of Conferences, 2018
The width of the f1(1285) → e+e+e- decay is calculated in the vector meson dominance model. The result depends on the relative phase between two coupling constants describing f1 → ρ0γ decay.

Nuclear shadowing in photoproduction of ρ mesons in ultraperipheral nucleus collisions at RHIC and the LHC

open access: yesPhysics Letters B, 2016
We argue that with an increase of the collision energy, elastic photoproduction of ρ mesons on nuclei becomes affected by the significant cross section of photon inelastic diffraction into large masses, which results in the sizable inelastic nuclear ...

Vector dominance and radiative meson decays

open access: yesPhysics Letters B, 1987
Abstract The vector dominance model is reexamined in a semi-empirical approach. Vector-meson-photon couplings are determined from leptonic decays, and the vector-meson mixing angle and a single vector-vector-pseudoscalar coupling constant for an effective VVP lagrangian, which is constrained by Zweig's rule, is calculated from the V → πλ decay ...

A theoretical analysis of the semileptonic decays $$\eta ^{(\prime )}\rightarrow \pi ^0l^+l^-$$ η ( ′ ) → π 0 l + l - and $$\eta ^\prime \rightarrow \eta l^+l^-$$ η ′ → η l + l -

open access: yesEuropean Physical Journal C: Particles and Fields, 2020
A complete theoretical analysis of the C- conserving semileptonic decays $$\eta ^{(\prime )}\rightarrow \pi ^0l^+l^-$$ η ( ′ ) → π 0 l + l - and $$\eta ^\prime \rightarrow \eta l^+l^-$$ η ′ → η l + l - ( $$l=e$$ l = e or $$\mu $$ μ ) is carried out ...

Anomalous decays of η′ and η into four pions

open access: yesEPJ Web of Conferences, 2012
We report about the calculation of the branching ratios of the yet unmeasured η′ decays into four pions, based on a combination of chiral perturbation theory and vector-meson dominance [1].

Radiative D∗ decay using vector meson dominance

open access: yesPhysics Letters B, 1994
Abstract The transition magnetic moment for the light degree of freedom for a heavy meson consisting of light and heavy quarks is calculated using vector meson dominance, the KSRF relation and the nonet symmetry. We get results similar to those obtained in the non-relativistic quark model (NQM).
