The findings of this study indicate that powdery mildew control achieved with the pneumatic solid set canopy delivery system (PSD‐SSCDS) was comparable with that of a conventional airblast sprayer. These results highlight the PSD‐SSCDS as a promising alternative spray technology. Abstract BACKGROUND In this study, a previously optimized pneumatic spray

Citrus breeding for biotic and abiotic stress tolerances; new tools and strategies for biodiversity Mobilization : S04T01 [PDF]
Citrus industry is affected worldwide by several fungal, bacterial and viral diseases. Some production areas also suffer of strong abiotic constraints such as water deficit, salt stress and iron chlorosis. Resistance or tolerance traits for most of these

Sasa species (Poaceae: Bambusoideae) are generally considered monocarpic mass flowering plants. Although seedling regeneration after small‐scale flowering has been largely overlooked, we demonstrated that some seedlings of Sasa veitchii var. tyugokuensis derived from small‐scale flowering survived for 11 years.

Enhancing the vase life of cut roses through spectral optimisation during greenhouse cultivation
Here, we examined three red‐to‐blue (R:B) light emitting diode (LED) ratios (90:10, 80:20 and 70:30) in two cut rose cultivars. All treatments enhanced photosynthesis, with 90:10 showing the strongest effects—raising chlorophyll, carotenoids, anthocyanins and carbohydrate levels, and extending vase life by up to 30%.

Application of Cover Type and Rootstock Height to the Success of Mango Grafting
The availability of high-quality mango seedlings is a major challenge in improving fruit yield and quality, which can be addressed through vegetative propagation techniques, such as grafting that combines rootstocks with strong root systems and scions ...

ABSTRACT Frequent fire in temperate native grasslands in south‐east Australia has maintained high plant diversity. The timing of fire implemented by fire agencies over the last several decades has been in summer and autumn. This coincides with the dormant season for many grassland plants. Recent trends in agency burning, partly driven by earlier curing

Suitability of peach and nectarine cultivars for organic production under pannonic climate conditions in Austria [PDF]
The suitability of nectarine and peach cultivars for organic production was examined in a field experiment in the experimental orchard of the institute in Vienna. Therefore, fifteen cultivars including Redhaven as standard cultivar were planted in 2003

Conceptual diagram of soil carbon cycling across climatic and environmental gradients in Nordic marshes and grazing effect. Denmark's warmer climate, high nutrient inputs, elevated salinity, and sandy soils promote rapid microbial decomposition of predominantly labile and root‐derived OC, driving high CO2 emissions and relatively high although unstable
