Vehicle dynamics—steering II
Journal of Terramechanics, 1992Abstract The consistent theme running through the Vehicle Dynamics—Steering sessions at the 1990 ISTVS Conference was more sophisticated analysis applied to off-road vehicle problems. Of particular note was the gradual progress being made with improvements to the modelling of tracked vehicle steering, including some promising work by Ehlert et al ...

Hyperballistic Vehicle Dynamics
Journal of Spacecraft and Rockets, 1981An earlier developed embedded Newtonian theory for prediction of the unsteady aerodynamics of hemisphere-cylinder-flare bodies has been extended to other hyperballistic geometries of general interest. Using generalized embedded Newtonian theory, the effect of Mach number is accounted for down to moderate supersonic speeds.

Author Daniel E. Williams, an industry professional with more 30 years of experience in chassis control systems from concept to launch, brings this experience and his unique approach to readers of Generalized Vehicle Dynamics. This book makes use of nomenclature and conventions not used in other texts. This combination allows the derivation of complex

In this chapter, we develop a dynamic model for a rigid bicycle vehicle having forward, lateral, yaw, and roll motions. The model of a rollable rigid vehicle is more exact and more effective compared to the rigid bicycle vehicle planar model. Using this model, we are able to analyze the roll behavior of a vehicle as well as its maneuvering.

Basics of Vehicle Dynamics, Vehicle Models
2018For the understanding and knowledge of the dynamic behaviour of passenger cars it is essential to use simple mechanical models as a first step. With such kind of models overall characteristic properties of the vehicle motion can be investigated. For cornering, a planar two-wheel model helps to explain understeer–oversteer, stability and steering ...
