Enhanced High‐Rate Cycling Performance of Nickel‐Rich Li[Ni0.88Co0.09Mn0.03]O2 Cathodes Through Sc2O3 Doping

open access: yesBattery Energy, Volume 5, Issue 3, May 2026.
Sc2O3 doping enhances the stability and rate capability of nickel‐rich LNCM88 cathodes. Despite a slight initial capacity loss, 1 wt% Sc2O3 achieves superior cycling performance, delivering 93.1% retention at 0.1 C and improved full‐cell durability, demonstrating a promising strategy for high‐power lithium‐ion batteries.

Fossil Hegemony and Capitalist Realism in Tropic of Orange

open access: yesFuture Humanities, Volume 4, Issue 1, May 2026.
ABSTRACT This article examines Karen Tei Yamashita's Tropic of Orange (1997) through the lens of Mark Fisher's influential concept ‘capitalist realism’. Scholars of petrofiction have pointed to a political ambivalence in the representation of fossil fuels, where a better understanding of fossil capital can overwhelm as much as galvanize.

The Paradox of Climate Justice

open access: yesWIREs Climate Change, Volume 17, Issue 3, May/June 2026.
Climate justice may paradoxically undermine ambitious emissions‐reduction policies, causing greater long‐term injustice through insufficient climate action. Heterodox instruments often are not systemic, suffer rebound effects, and are less feasible than mainstream alternatives.

The Influence of Calendering on the Fast Charging Performance of a Graphite Anode Structured by Liquid Injection

open access: yesEnergy Technology, Volume 14, Issue 4, April 2026.
A novel, material‐loss‐free liquid‐injection process is applied to structure graphite electrodes for lithium‐ion batteries, enabling a systematic investigation of calendering effects on electrode properties. The results demonstrate how calendering‐induced densification modifies local porosity and particle arrangement, offering new insights into the ...
