Unscented Kalman filter for vehicle state estimation

Vehicle System Dynamics, 2011
Vehicle dynamics control (VDC) systems require information about system variables, which cannot be directly measured, e.g. the wheel slip or the vehicle side-slip angle. This paper presents a new concept for the vehicle state estimation under the assumption that the vehicle is equipped with the standard VDC sensors.

Vehicle state estimation based on Minimum Model Error criterion combining with Extended Kalman Filter

Journal of the Franklin Institute, 2016
This paper researched an estimation method based on the Minimum Model Error (MME) criterion combing with the Extended Kalman Filter (EKF) for 4WD vehicle states.

Vehicle State Estimation Using Cubature Kalman Filter

2014 IEEE 17th International Conference on Computational Science and Engineering, 2014
The vehicle state is of significant to examine and control vehicle performance. But some vehicle states such as vehicle velocity and side slip angle which are vital to active safety application of vehicle can not be measured directly and must be estimated instead.

Underwater vehicle near real time state estimation

2013 IEEE International Conference on Control Applications (CCA), 2013
Acoustic time-of-flight positioning schemes are widely implemented for aiding underwater inertial navigation systems. The ping-response protocol and asynchronous nature of the returns of long-baseline (LBL) systems do not satisfy the standard assumptions necessary for Extended Kalman Filter (EKF) solutions.

State Estimation for Micro Air Vehicles

2007
Autopilots for small UAVs are generally equipped with low fidelity sen- sors that make state estimation challenging. In addition, the sensor suite does not include units that measure angle-of-attack and side-slip angles. The achievable flight performance is directly related to the quality of the state estimates.

FTEKFNet: Hybridizing Physical and Data-Driven Estimation Algorithms for Vehicle State

IEEE Transactions on Intelligent Vehicles
Sideslip angle and vehicle velocity are crucial for both traditional and autonomous vehicles. They play essential roles in chassis stability control, as well as in tasks such as path planning and tracking control. However, these states cannot be directly

Vehicle State Estimation Based on V2V System

2015
To improve the vehicle state estimation accuracy under V2V system, the vehicle state estimation method which uses the multiple information fusion is presented. Through the establishment of the automobile kinematics mode and state equation of vehicle state parameter estimation, the method uses extended kalman filter method to realize the accurately ...

Vehicle state estimation using GPS/IMU integration

2011 IEEE SENSORS Proceedings, 2011
New driver support systems require knowledge of the vehicle position with great accuracy and reliability. Satellite navigation (GNSS) is generally insufficiently accurate for positioning and as an alternative to using a ground station, combinations with high quality motion sensors are used in so-called Inertial Navigation Systems.

State estimator for active vehicle control systems

ATZelektronik worldwide, 2010
With the “Vehicle State Estimator VSE module”, TNO offers a solution for integrated active safety. Relevant driving conditions and critical situations for active (safety) control systems are monitored and detected. The VSE is a first step towards brand independent tuning. Its generic design can be used easily across vehicles in a product line, reducing
