In dynamic driving scenarios, the proposed approach ensures only temporally aligned sensor inputs to make driving decisions, preventing false activations. By enabling selective hardware‐level learning, it achieves fast, reliable responses under noisy conditions.

Whitespace networks for vehicular communication
2013 Fifth International Conference on Communication Systems and Networks (COMSNETS), 2013We outline the design of a system to exploit the TV whitespaces for dynamically gathering video feeds from public buses in a city. The system consists of the following components: (1) A FPGA based SDR board to be fixed on buses to collect the video feed from inside the bus and transmit it to the central location, (2) An open source software (GNU-radio)

Measuring Disruption in Vehicular Communications
IEEE Transactions on Vehicular Technology, 2011Recent studies have shown that roadside wireless local area network (WLAN) access points (APs) can provide network access from vehicles. However, the unplanned deployment of WLAN APs is the main hurdle in the provision of continuous network services. Because of this unplanned deployment, a mobile node moving at vehicular speed experiences periods of ...

Position verification in vehicular communications
2013 Fifth International Conference on Communication Systems and Networks (COMSNETS), 2013In this paper, we propose a novel positioning methodology for a moving observer vehicle to estimate the location of a target vehicle without having to rely on fixed roadside infrastructure units (RSU) as reference nodes. It also enables the moving observer vehicle to verify the GPS assisted location claims by the target vehicle.

Vehicular Communications: Standards and Challenges
2017Vehicle-to-everything (V2X) communications represent information sharing between vehicles and any elements involved in an intelligent transportation system (ITS), including other nearby vehicles, handheld devices carried by pedestrians, roadside units (RSUs), and remote V2X application servers.

Implementing Trusted Vehicular Communications
VTC Spring 2009 - IEEE 69th Vehicular Technology Conference, 2009The main software modules included in the overall package are currently: (1) the encap and decap modules, realized as applications running in the background, (2) front-ends in different programming languages for easy integration into an existing application, and (3) a command line tool for generating valid certificates and keys for a node, called ca ...
