The VenaSeal (Medtronic, Minneapolis, Minn) cyanoacrylate closure system is a nonthermal technique for ablating saphenous veins using a proprietary n-butyl cyanoacrylate. One possible side effect is an allergic reaction to cyanoacrylate.
