Tensile Stress Evolution Outside Deformation Zone of Cold Rolled Strip
To determine the exact distribution of tensile stress in a cold rolled strip, tensile stress evolution caused by lateral uneven velocity distribution outside the deformation zone of the strip is examined. The finite difference method is employed to solve

Early Impact of Childhood Opportunity on Neurocognitive Outcomes in Sickle Cell Disease
ABSTRACT Introduction Neurocognitive impairment is a well‐recognized complication of sickle cell disease (SCD) that begins early in childhood and persists across development. While cerebrovascular injury contributes substantially to risk, neurocognitive deficits are also observed in children without overt or silent cerebral infarctions, suggesting ...

Fluorescent probes allow dynamic visualization of phosphoinositides in living cells (left), whereas mass spectrometry provides high‐sensitivity, isomer‐resolved quantitation (right). Their synergistic use captures complementary aspects of lipid signaling. This review illustrates how these approaches reveal the spatiotemporal regulation and quantitative

We reconstituted Synechocystis glycogen synthesis in vitro from purified enzymes and showed that two GlgA isoenzymes produce glycogen with different architectures: GlgA1 yields denser, highly branched glycogen, whereas GlgA2 synthesizes longer, less‐branched chains.

Numerical simulation of MHD coupling effect relevant to COOL blanket for CFETR
The supercritical carbon dioxide cOoled lithium-lead (COOL) blanket is one of the candidate blankets for Chinese Fusion Engineering and Test Reactor. The lead-lithium (PbLi) is used as neutron multiplier and tritium breeder, as well as the coolant to ...

For studying mechanism of sediment transport in river flows, open channel flow is a prototype. Flow has always three components of velocity for all types of channel geometry and for a time independent uniform flow along streamwise or main flow direction,

Calpain small subunit homodimerization is robust and calcium‐independent
Calpains dimerize via penta‐EF‐hand (PEF) domains. Using single‐molecule force spectroscopy, we measured the strength and kinetics of PEF–PEF homodimer binding. The interaction is robust, shows a transient conformational step before dissociation, and remains largely insensitive to Ca2+.
