Emerging Role of ctDNA Fragmentomics and Epigenetic Signatures in the Early Detection, Minimal Residual Disease Assessment, and Precision Monitoring of Renal Cell Carcinoma

open access: yesJournal of Cellular and Molecular Medicine, Volume 30, Issue 3, February 2026.
ABSTRACT Renal cell carcinoma (RCC) presents a significant global health challenge, with a substantial proportion of patients diagnosed with advanced or metastatic disease due to the limitations of current diagnostic imaging and the lack of validated non‐invasive biomarkers.

Emerging methods for subtype differentiation in primary aldosteronism

open access: yesJournal of Internal Medicine, Volume 299, Issue 2, Page 178-195, February 2026.
Abstract Primary aldosteronism (PA) is a common cause of hypertension. Compared to patients with essential hypertension, untreated PA is associated with a two‐ to fourfold greater risk of cardiovascular disease, renal failure, and death. PA is caused by increased secretion of aldosterone from one adrenal gland in 30% of the patients and both adrenal ...

Sacrificial Biofabrication for Vascularization: Concept, Materials, Technologies, and Applications

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, Volume 38, Issue 2, 8 January 2026.
Vasculature is indispensable for tissue viability in regenerative medicine. The sacrificial biofabrication enables precise fabrication of vascular channels by using temporary templates that are subsequently removed. This review defines the concept and delves into sacrificial materials, surrounding materials, fabrication technologies, and biomedical ...

A Multicenter Prospective Cohort Study on the Use of Weight‐Adjusted Dalteparin in Patients Over 90 kg With Acute Cancer‐Associated Venous Thromboembolism—The WAVe Study

open access: yesAmerican Journal of Hematology, Volume 101, Issue 1, Page 79-88, January 2026.
The WAVe stdudy‐ A multicenter prospective cohort study of wieght‐adjusted dalteparin in patients over 90 kg with acute cancer‐associated venous thromboembolism. ABSTRACT Patients with cancer‐associated thrombosis (CAT) are commonly treated with low‐molecular‐weight heparin (LMWH), but whether dose capping is needed in patients over 90 kg is unclear ...

A One‐Dimensional (1D) Computational Fluid Dynamics Study of Fontan‐Associated Liver Disease (FALD)

open access: yesInternational Journal for Numerical Methods in Biomedical Engineering, Volume 42, Issue 1, January 2026.
Fontan‐associated liver disease (FALD) is a disorder arising from congestion in the liver. This disease is prominent in patients with hypoplastic left heart syndrome (HLHS). Through perfusion analysis, we find that as FALD progresses, there are increased pressures and decreased flow to certain regions of liver tissue.
