First‐Trimester Crown‐Rump Length and Large for Gestational Age Newborns: What Correlation?

open access: yesJournal of Clinical Ultrasound, EarlyView.
Our research found for the first time that uneventful pregnancies with LGA neonates are characterized by larger than expected CRL at the first trimester. CRL is one of the new markers that can be used to early identify fetuses at risk of increased fetal growth.

Interleukin‐37 Enhances Liver NK Cell Cytotoxicity and Improves Recurrence‐Free Survival in Hepatocellular Carcinoma Patients

open access: yesJournal of Hepato-Biliary-Pancreatic Sciences, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Introduction Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) remains a major cause of cancer‐related mortality worldwide, and postoperative recurrence continues to limit long‐term survival. Liver‐resident natural killer (NK) cells are key effectors of antitumor immunity in the hepatic microenvironment. Interleukin‐37 (IL‐37), an anti‐inflammatory cytokine, has

The Hidden Architecture of Pancreatic Ducts: 3D Anatomical Reconstruction and Its Implication on Pancreatic Resection

open access: yesJournal of Hepato-Biliary-Pancreatic Sciences, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background/Purpose Postoperative pancreatic fistula (POPF) is a common complication after pancreatic surgery and its mechanisms remain incompletely understood. While the diameter of the main pancreatic duct is well‐known to be a risk factor of POPF, the impact of branch duct's (BD) anatomy is not known.

Non‐Linear Threshold Effect of Dynamic Estimated Plasma Volume Status on Revealing In‐Hospital Mortality Risk in Sepsis

open access: yesThe Kaohsiung Journal of Medical Sciences, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT This retrospective cohort study evaluated the association between estimated plasma volume status (ePVS) and in‐hospital mortality in adult patients with sepsis from the MIMIC‐IV (v2.2) database. After excluding patients with early death, readmission, red blood cell transfusion, malignancy, or missing ePVS data, 17,403 patients meeting Sepsis‐3
