A Resistive Soft Robotic Exosuit for Dynamic Body Loading in Hypogravity

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
The resistive hypogravity exosuit is a lightweight wearable robotic exosuit that uses pneumatic artificial muscles to restore Earth‐like metabolic and muscular demands during locomotion in low gravity. Tested on healthy subjects in Earth and simulated Moon gravity, the suit restores energy expenditure and muscle activation without altering gait ...

Interactions of Antibody Drug Conjugate Anti‐Tubulin and Topoisomerase I Inhibitor Payloads with Radiotherapy to Potentiate Immunotherapy

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Antibody drug conjugates deliver their cytotoxic anti‐tubulin or topoisomerase I inhibitor payloads to tumors through cancer cell receptor targeting. The released drug payloads induce cellular changes that interact with radiotherapy resulting in radiosensitization that improves cancer cell kill and stimulates anti‐tumor immune responses.

North, South, East and West: The Environmental Approach to Transparent Design

open access: yesChallenging Glass Conference Proceedings, 2010
Architecture has always been interested in transparency but this characteristic has strong implications for energy performance. For many years architecture has neglected this factor but today, in a time when society has developed an awareness of the ...

Vitamin D Regulates Olfactory Function via Dual Transcriptional and mTOR‐Dependent Translational Control of Synaptic Proteins

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Vitamin D (VitD) modulates olfactory function by remodeling dendrodendritic synapses in tufted cells through vitamin D receptor‐dependent transcriptional and translational mechanisms. VitD regulates synaptic protein translation partially via mTOR signaling.

L’architettura come sistema di differenze

open access: yesAisthesis, 2012
There are many cases in which the “direction” of architecture seems to be indifferent to the architect who designs it. Among these, the Guggenheim Museum in New York by Frank Lloyd Wright is highly emblematic: through the long and troubled project’s ...

Bridged Conductive Nanofibrous Membrane Overcoming the Porosity‐Conductivity Trade‐Off for Electrothermal Air Purification

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
To overcome the porosity‐conductivity trade‐off in conductive porous membranes, a conductive nanofibrous membrane bridged by self‐assembled PPy nanowires is constructed, integrating multiscale porosity with continuous electron pathways. This material‐structure‐function strategy achieves low‐resistance and high‐efficiency filtration combined with ...
