Study on intelligent calibration of airway resistance in mine ventilation networks
Existing airway resistance calibration models for mine ventilation systems do not strictly define the constraints for the friction resistance factor and lack consideration for the magnitude of resistance adjustment, leading to low calibration efficiency.

Overall Ventilation System Flow Network Calculation for Site Recommendation
The scope of this calculation is to determine ventilation system resistances, pressure drops, airflows, and operating cost estimates for the Site Recommendation (SR) design as detailed in the ''Site Recommendation Subsurface Layout'' (BSC (Bechtel SAIC Company) 2001a). The statutory limit for emplacement of waste in Yucca Mountain is 70,000 metric tons

Synchronization‐Dissipation in the Cardiorespiratory System
By modeling central nervous coupling and viscoelastic interactions in the cardiorespiratory system we show that synchronization produces a 10% gain in cardiac efficiency in humans. It is surmised that respiratory sinus arrhythmia improves cardiac pumping efficiency by reducing dynamic stress and power dissipation in the pulmonary vasculature.
