Flexible bronchoscopy during mechanical ventilation. Why and why not
Flexible bronchoscopy has been utilized in the intensive care units and in mechanically ventilated patients for many decades. The procedure is reasonably safe and has wide range of diagnostic and therapeutic benefits in patients undergoing mechanical ...

The membrane‐active peptide Pep19‐2.5 reduces harmful inflammation by blocking activation of the NLRP3 inflammasome at trans‐Golgi network membranes. By targeting key membrane interactions, Pep19‐2.5 suppresses inflammatory IL‐1β production and alleviates allergic airway inflammation in mice, leading to reduced immune cell infiltration and improved ...

Transposable Element–Driven PIEZO Mutation Enhances Locust Flight in Plateau Hypoxia
Why transposable elements (TEs) persisted or expanded in genomes remains a mystery. Using integrated analysis of TE macro‐ and microevolution in locusts, our results showed that thousands of TE insertions promoted widespread adaptive variation. Subfamilies of candidate adaptive TEs amplified and reshaped species‐level genomic architecture.

A soft hybrid multi‐wavelength PPG wearable acquires neonatal signals. Synchronized PPG and invasive ABP data are segmented into fixed windows. A 1D‐EfficientNet model predicts segment‐level SBP and DBP. Model performance is examined with retrospective subgroup analysis across acquisition conditions.

Genetic ablation of Cep55 in Pten‐deficient mouse models delays tumorigenesis. Integrated multi‐omics analyses (proteomics, phosphoproteomics, and spatial transcriptomics) reveal that CEP55 regulates oncogenic signaling (RAS/ERK, PI3K/AKT), integrin/FAK‐mediated adhesion, extracellular matrix (ECM) remodeling, and endocytosis.

Dual Lineages of Langerhans Cells Cooperate to Restore the Immune Barrier after Skin Injury
After skin injury, the epidermal immune barrier is rebuilt by two sources of Langerhans cells. Resident Langerhans cells first move into the wound during re‐epithelialization, guided by CXCR2 signaling. Later, recruited monocytes become long‐lived Langerhans cells.

Method for regulating required airflow in mine roadways based on MSCALA
To address insufficient precision in determining ventilation resistance adjustment ranges and the susceptibility of coordinated multi-branch airflow regulation to disturbance-induced imbalance in conventional required-airflow regulation for mine roadways,

Research on the Calculation of Mine Ventilation Network Based on Loop Airflow Method
In response to the need to further explore the potential of existing mine ventilation network solutions, a mine ventilation network solution was carried out based on the loop air volume method. A computer program design framework for loop method ventilation network solution was constructed, and ventilation network solution software was developed ...

UFL1‐Mediated UFMylation of ENO1 Restrains Aerobic Glycolysis and Colorectal Cancer Progression
UFMylation restrains aerobic glycolysis and colorectal cancer progression by modifying the glycolytic enzyme ENO1. Pharmacological enhancement of the UFL1–ENO1 interaction by the FDA‐approved antibiotic torezolid promotes ENO1 UFMylation, suppresses tumor metabolism, and sensitizes colorectal cancer to chemotherapy, revealing an actionable metabolic ...
