Acquired discrete subaortic stenosis late after mitral valve replacement
Although acquired left ventricular outflow obstruction has been reported in a variety of conditions, there are scant reports of its occurrence following mitral valve replacement (MVR).

In this study we describe the echocardiographic features of a complex cardiac defect with a right to left shunt through tetralogy of Fallot and also a left to right shunt through a patent ductus arteriosus (PDA) in a 3-year-old dog.

Right ventricular outflow tract obstruction in complicated monochorionic twin pregnancy
Severe right ventricular outflow tract obstruction (RVOTO) is a potential complication in recipient twins of twin‐to‐twin transfusion syndrome (TTTS) that requires postnatal follow‐up or treatment.

Obstructive Right Ventricular Outflow Tract Hemangioma in an Adolescent
Cardiac tumors are rare in children, but they are being diagnosed with increasing frequency and great accuracy with wide array of imaging modalities. Cardiac rhabdomyoma and myxoma are the most common tumors in children and adults, respectively. Cardiac hemangiomas comprise about 2.8% of all primary cardiac tumors and fewer than 100 cases have been ...

Abstract Aims No curative treatment is available for RASopathy‐associated childhood‐onset hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (RAS‐CM). Preclinical data and individual reports suggest a beneficial effect of small molecules targeting the RAS–mitogen‐activated protein (MAP) kinase (MAPK) pathway in severely affected RAS‐CM patients.

High-Resolution, Three-Dimensional Reconstruction of the Outflow Tract Demonstrates Segmental Differences in Cleared Eyes [PDF]
Purpose: The rate of conventional aqueous humor outflow is the highest nasally. We hypothesized that this is reflected in regionally different outflow structures and analyzed the entire limbus by high-resolution, full-thickness ribbon-scanning confocal microscopy (RSCM).

Fusion rules for pastures and tracts [PDF]
Baker and Bowler defined a category of algebraic objects called tracts which generalize both partial fields and hyperfields. They also defined a notion of weak and strong matroids over a tract $F$, and proved that if $F$ is perfect, meaning that $F$-vectors and $F$-covectors are orthogonal for every matroid over $F$, then the notions of weak and strong

Predicting right ventricular failure after left ventricular assist device implant: A novel approach
Abstract Aims Right ventricular (RV) failure (RVF) after left ventricular assist device (LVAD) implant is an important cause of morbidity and mortality. Modern, data‐driven approaches for defining and predicting RVF have been under‐utilized. Methods Two hundred thirty‐two patients were identified with a mean age of 55 years; 40 (17%) were women, 132 ...

Link groups and the A-B slice problem [PDF]
The A-B slice problem is a reformulation of the topological 4-dimensional surgery conjecture in terms of decompositions of the 4-ball and link homotopy. We show that link groups, a recently developed invariant of 4-manifolds, provide an obstruction for the class of model decompositions, introduced by M. Freedman and X.-S. Lin.

Composite valved apico-aortic conduits for left ventricular outflow obstruction.
Problems related to the left ventricular outflow tract are not always amenable to conventional surgical methods, and in some cases may be solved with the creation of a double outlet left ventricle, using a composite rigid pyrolite left ventricular apex ...
