A case of cardiac lipoma in the ventricular septum
The Japanese Journal of Thoracic and Cardiovascular Surgery, 1998Lipoma in the ventricular septum is very rare. Our review of the English literature revealed that our case is the sixth of removal of lipoma in the ventricular septum. A 60-year-old male was admitted because a mass in the ventricular septum was found incidentally in abdominal CT taken following type B hepatitis.

Mechanics of the ventricular septum
1987Traditionally, the ventricular septum has been viewed as part of the left ventricle (Fig. 15-1), both from an anatomic [1] and functional viewpoint. Support for this concept is widespread and is illustrated in the echocardiographic study shown in Fig. 15-2.

Papillary elastofibroma of the left ventricular septum
The American Journal of Surgical Pathology, 1980Papillary elastofibromas of the heart are usually incidental findings at autopsy. They occur more commonly on the surfaces of the valves than on the mural endothelium and are characterized by a papillary configuration with fronds composed of a collagenous and elastic tissue core lined by hyperplastic endothelial cells.

Aneurysm of the membranous portion of the ventricular septum∗
The American Journal of Cardiology, 1969Abstract Two cases of aneurysm of the membranous portion of the ventricular septum are presented. This brings the total number of reported cases to 110. Both patients were asymptomatic and the clinical findings were those of coexisting ventricular sepal defect.

Detection of thrombus in an aneurysm of the ventricular septum
The American Journal of Cardiology, 1989Abstract Aneurysm of the membranous septum is one of the proposed mechanisms for spontaneous closure of a ventricular septal defect (VSD). Isolated reports have individually focused on the echocardiographic, 1 angiographic 2 and postmortem 3 findings in patients with aneurysms of the membranous interventricular septum.

Pulmonary atresia with intact ventricular septum
The American Journal of Cardiology, 1968Abstract Thirty-nine autopsy cases of Type i pulmonary atresia with an intact ventricular septum have been reviewed. Clinical correlation was available in 19 cases; catheterization and angiocardiographic data were included in 7. This complex is associated with an extremely thickwalled but minute capacity right ventricular chamber which is generally

Intracardiac needle biopsy of the ventricular septum
The American Journal of Cardiology, 1965Abstract This report describes a myocardial biopsy technic for safely securing enough tissue for biochemical and microscopic study of heart disease. The technic relies on a catheter-sheathed, curved biopsy needle containing a retractable cutting device.

Angiographic Demonstration of the Ventricular Septum
Radiology, 1968In the cardiac disease, idiopathic hypertrophic subaortic stenosis (IHSS) (1), there is hypertrophy of the myocardium which is often asymmetrically distributed. Although published descriptions appeared earlier, it was not until a clinical report by Brock (3) in 1957 and a pathologic report by Teare (10) in 1958 that the disease became well known. Since

Pulmonary stenosis with closed ventricular septum
American Heart Journal, 1957Abstract The authors have selected fifteen cases of pulmonary stenosis with closed ventricular septum; in six patients could be demonstrated the presence of a patent foramen ovale or a true atrial septal defect; in two other cases there existed an anomaly of the venous return.
