Methods applied in the production system of virus free planting material of apple in the Republic of Moldova [PDF]
The technology of in vitro micropropagation of the apple rootstock MM 106 was developed. From 80 to100% rooting was obtained in variants with indole-3-butyric acid (IBA) 1-2 mg/l.

New Molecular Tool for a Quick and Easy Detection of Apple Scab in the Field
Venturia inaequalis, an agent of apple scab, is the most important pathogen of Malus x domestica. Control measures against this pathogen rely on intensive phytosanitary programs based on predictive models to identify the meteorological conditions ...

In Vitro and in Planta Activity of Some Essential Oils against Venturia inaequalis (Cooke) G. Winter
The effect of the essential oils of thyme (Thymus vulgaris), cinnamon (Cinnamomum verum) and sweet orange (Citrus sinensis) on conidial germination of Venturia inaequalis was investigated in vitro. Moreover, the effect of cinnamon oil was further studied

Relationships between Cultural Characters and Pathogenicity in Venturia inaequalis and Venturia pirina [PDF]
SUMMARY: Series of experiments were carried out both in vitro and in vivo on single conidial isolates of Venturia inaequalis and V. pirina. Relationships between colony type and sporulation in vitro were apparent in both species. In addition, isolates of V. inaequalis showed relationships between degree of resistance of host source, width of host range

Germinability of Venturia inaequalis Conidia Exposed to Sunlight [PDF]
Detached conidia of Venturia inaequalis were exposed simultaneously outdoors to direct sunlight or in an adjacent ventilated enclosure in darkness for periods ranging from 0.5 to 16.5 h. In addition, conidia were either exposed or not exposed to UV light (254 nm) from 1 to 64 min in the laboratory.

The continuing significance of chiral agrochemicals
In the time frame 2018–2023, around 43% of the 35 chiral agrochemicals introduced to the market (herbicides, fungicides, insecticides, acaricides, and nematicides) contain one or more stereogenic centers in the molecule, and almost 69% of them have been marketed as racemic mixtures of enantiomers or stereoisomers.

The Role of Extracellular Melanoproteins of Venturia inaequalis in Host Susceptibility [PDF]
SUMMARY: A series of fungal melanoproteins (mol. wt 10,000-70,000) was isolated from culture filtrates of Venturia inaequalis, and partially characterized by gel filtration and acid hydrolysis. Petiole injection of aqueous solutions of the melanoproteins with non-phytotoxic marker compounds, into apple shoots, produced specific effects on the transport
