New Japanese Pear Cultivar 'Akizuki'

Akizuki' is a new cultivar of Japanese pear (Pyrus pyrifolia Nakai) released in 1998 by National Institute of Fruit Tree Science,MAFF. It originated from the crossing between '162-29' ('Niitaka' × 'Housui') and 'Kousui', made in 1985.
