Retinoic acid signalling may regulate the repair processes in a tooth germ injury model using Tg(scpp5:Dendra2‐NTR) zebrafish and the nitroreductase (NTR)/metronidazole (MTZ) system. Caffeic acid is a central metabolite in the fungal bioluminescence pathway. We identified and characterized caffeylpyruvate hydrolase from Neonothopanus gardneri (ngarCPH) and demonstrate its ability to hydrolyze fungal oxyluciferin into caffeic and pyruvic acids, confirming a complete and self‐sustained fungal bioluminescence cycle.

Cyclic β‐1,2‐glucan (CβG)‐associated solute‐binding protein of type I ABC transporter was originally identified in Chloroflexus aurantiacus, a phototrophic bacterium. Crystal structures in complex with CβGs revealed unique binding modes that are fundamentally distinct from that of the short β‐1,2‐glucooligosaccharides‐binding protein.

Abstract Cryo‐scanning electron microscopy (CryoSEM) permits the preparation and detailed imaging of bulky samples while keeping them in a hydrated state. For plant biology, cryofractures give information on cell ultrastructure and tissue organisation within a much larger context that is the whole organ or organism.
