Image segmentation and VEP topography
Vision Research, 1991VEP scalp fields were measured for four pattern onset-offset stimuli identical except for the single contrast attribute that allowed a square-wave grating to be seen. The contrast attribute used for each stimulus was either texture, binocular disparity, luminance, or color. All stimuli were presented as dynamic random dot displays.

The VEP in Acephalgic Migraine
Headache: The Journal of Head and Face Pain, 1990SYNOPSIS The diagnosis of acephalgic migraine is complicated by the fact that other neurological conditions such as transient ischaemic attacks, demyelinating disease, simple partial epilepsy, and even glaucoma, can present with similar symptoms.

Realistic modeling of vep topography
Vision Research, 1990A finite element model of the human head was constructed from digitized contours of a cadaver head cut at 1 cm intervals parallel to the cantho-meatal plane. The boundary element method was used to calculate the potential fields produced by dipoles in the cortex at various locations and orientations.

Surplus reaction of checkerboard-VEP's
Documenta Ophthalmologica, 1985Surplus reactions of checkerboard VEP's have been recorded in several cases, which in follow-up studies demonstrated a correlation to clinical findings.

Zahlreiche Gruppierungsversuche der als Teilleistungsstorung (Martinius 1983; Shaywitz u. Waxmann 1987) interpretierten Leseschwache in sprachlich-auditive, raumlich-visuelle und mischfunktionelle Storungen werden heute diskutiert (Kinsbourne u. Visual Evoked potentials (VEP) are known to be modulated by retinal fatigue. Thus, the VEP recovery time after a standard dazzling retinal exposusre, may offer a practical method for evaluating retinal function, by means of a single sweep analysis ...

It has long been known, at least since the work of Gafner and Goldmann1, that an elevation of intraocular pressure (IOP) produces characteristic defects in the visual field, similar to those which are caused by certain disorders in the visual pathway. In the past 20 years many studies have been made on the relationship between ERG and IOP elevation2–6).

Abstract This chapter presents an empirical study of the distribution of a marker referred to as the ‘essive’ in Veps. The description of the properties of this marker follows the linguistic questionnaire that captures the contexts in which essive and/or translative markers may occur in the Uralic languages.
