Verbal Recognition and Non-Verbal Reasoning of Retardates
Perceptual and Motor Skills, 1969The Peabody Picture Vocabulary Test (PPVT; Dunn, 1965) and the Figure Reasoning Test (FRT; Daniels, 1966) are widely differing tests of intelligence. The PPVT is a measure of the child's word-recognition ability. This reflects awareness of the surround and the extent to which the child has benefitted from exposure to verbal experiences.
