Inverse-cavity structure for low-threshold miniature lasers
Creating micro and nano lasers, high threshold gain is an inherent problem that have critically restricted their great technological potentials. Here, we propose an inverse-cavity laser structure where its threshold gain in the shortest-cavity regime is ...

The new Cu‐containing MOF (Me2NH2)(CuICl2)@[Cu4(INA)4Cl2O]·1.5dmf (3) contains a cation and an anion as guests and shows UV‐near‐mid‐IR absorption and near‐IR emission. MOF 3 shows gas‐solid reactivity in the presence of NH3 and HCOOH to yield two new 3D MOF.

Numerical simulation of vertical cavity surface emitting lasers
The semiconductor laser simulator MINILASE is being extended to simulate vertical cavity surface emitting lasers (VCSELs). The electronic system analysis for VCSELs is identical to that for edge emitting lasers. A brief discussion of the capabilities of MINILASE in this domain will be presented.

Transparent Perovskite Light‐Emitting Diodes with Conductive Oxide Top Electrodes
Transparent perovskite light‐emitting diodes (TrPeLEDs) enable simultaneous display and transparency, expanding application possibilities. Using a metal oxide buffer layer and pulsed laser deposition, TrPeLEDs with diverse compositions and architectures are demonstrated.

Bifurcation analysis of a multi-transverse-mode VCSEL
We study the behaviour of a multi-transverse-mode vertical-cavity surface-emitting laser subject to optical feedback in which the optical modes are coupled through the external round-trip. Starting from a delayed partial differential equation description

Multimode VCSEL model for wide frequency-range RIN simulation [PDF]
In this paper, we present an equivalent circuit model for oxide-confined AlGaAs/GaAs VCSEL with the noise contribution adapted to optomicrowave links applications. This model is derived from the multimode rate equations.

Oxygen‐releasing hydrogels are widely used to support cell survival in 3D cultures and to promote wound healing. However, incorporating catalase to convert H2O2 into O2 often generates additional oxygen bubbles, leading to material instability which rarely addressed.

Progress on single mode VCSELs for data- and tele-communications
Paper 82760KSingle mode (SM) 850 nm vertical-cavity surface-emitting lasers (VCSELs) are suitable for error-free (bit error ratio <10 -12) data transmission at 17-25 Gb/s at distances ~2-0.6 km over 50m-core multimode fiber (MMF).
