Instability characteristics of the cracked roof rock beam under shallow mining conditions

open access: yesInternational Journal of Mining Science and Technology, 2018
To establish the movement relationship for the roof breaking under shallow mining conditions, the mechanical model of the roof rock beam was built, then the structure instability process of the roof rock beam was analyzed.

Time-Dependent Analysis of Precast Segmental Bridges

open access: yesInternational Journal of Concrete Structures and Materials, 2021
Prestressed segmentally constructed balanced cantilever bridges are often subjected to larger deflections than those predicted by calculations, especially for long-term effects.

Lunar deflections of the vertical and their distribution

open access: yesNatural Science, 2011
The deflection of the vertical reflects the mass distribution and density anomaly of celestial bodies. Lunar deflections of the vertical include directional information of the Moon’s gravity field. SGM90d, recovered from SELENE mission, revealed the lunar far side gravity field for the first time in history owes to 4-way Doppler data. Lunar deflections

Gravimetric interpolation of the deflection of the vertical [PDF]

open access: yesNew Zealand Journal of Geology and Geophysics, 1971
Abstract The horizontal gravity anomaly vector h , and hence the components of the deflection of the vertical, is interpolated from the surrounding discrete observations of gravity anomaly g j

Optimizing photoexcitation conditions for time‐resolved X‐ray solution scattering experiments

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Time‐resolved X‐ray solution scattering (TR‐XSS) is a powerful technique to visualize how proteins change their structure in real time after light activation. Selecting the right laser photoexcitation conditions—fluence, excitation geometry, and sample refresh rate—is critical to maximize the experimental signal while avoiding unwanted side effects ...

Analysis of vertical deflection periodic variations [PDF]

open access: yesThe 9th International Conference "Environmental Engineering 2014", 2014
Most of the geodetic measurements are related with the direction of gravity or vertical. Angular, height difference measurements are performed in horizontal coordinate system. Geodetic measurement data are reduced to a uniform coordinate system prior to processing, taking into account gravity field nonhomogenity.

Current Status and Challenges in Data Collection for Aerospace Coatings Deposited by Plasma Spraying

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
An innovative approach has been integrated into the GRENAT project to optimize plasma spraying and coating performance. Raw materials are accelerated and melted in the plasma generated by torches, creating coatings. Monitoring sensors collect process data which are combined with ex situ characterization data.

Modified Reed Equation of Blast Load on Plate with Stiffener

open access: yesCivil and Environmental Engineering, 2021
The purpose of this study is to analyze numerically the effect of explosions on orthotropic slabs which have partial fixity placement and stiffeners in the x direction, namely in the short span direction.
